News Walt Disney World Heat Safety Tech? Disney Patents System to Help Guests Manage Summer Heat

Problem is same as with the original NextGen concepts... customers are going to chase wait times above all else. No amount of medical advice will convince the person to take a break.

Now if they spun it into 'your child is about to have a meltdown' -- it could be interesting to see how parents react :)

A "solution" in search of a problem. Just more ways for disney to micromanage your day and direct customers where THEY think they should be.
At what point will we see a system that schedules your entire park day for you, based on a few variables/preferences that you provide, and you are required to follow that schedule with no deviations? "Sorry, sir, but you can't board HM for another 3 minutes-you're ahead of schedule."

Every now and then I just LOVE AI... 🥰

Submitted for your approval:

A place not found on any map, yet visited daily by millions. A kingdom of laughter, spectacle, and carefully measured delight. Where once stood the chaos of choice—the wandering, the wondering, the waiting—there now stands precision. Invisible hands guiding every step, every turn, every heartbeat of your day. A park not of rides alone, but of outcomes… optimized.

You arrive not as a guest, but as a data point. Your preferences known before you speak them. Your hunger anticipated before it stirs. A gentle chime in your pocket, and the path reveals itself—this way to exhilaration, that way to satisfaction, onward to joy. No lines. No indecision. No surprises.

Especially no surprises.

The roller coaster thrills you at precisely 2:17 p.m., calibrated to your tolerance for fear. Lunch arrives just as your blood sugar dips below delight. A parade passes when your attention begins to wander. Even the laughter of those around you seems… well-timed.

And yet, somewhere between the perfectly scheduled scream and the algorithmically assigned smile, a question lingers.

What was it you would have chosen?

But there is no need to ask. The system already knows the answer. It has always known. It has improved upon it.

Because in this park of the future, you are free from the burden of choice… liberated from uncertainty… relieved of spontaneity.

And in exchange?

Why, only the quiet surrender of the one thing no machine can truly predict—

The beautifully imperfect, wildly inefficient, utterly human art of being lost.

You are now entering… the Twilight Zone.

It's incredible how blindly out of touch they are. It shows that they're all sitting over on the west coast, hardly ever venturing to WDW for anything more than a morning photo op.

In the incredibly unlikely event someone from HQ is mad enough to listen to people who actually visit their parks: ITS HOT. ITS CONCRETE. IT NEEDS SHADE*. ITS NOT HARD TO GRASP. There's a reason all the parks used to have fan misters in queues, canopies in open walkways, shops with actual aircon turned on, etc.

*not that pathetic crud you just added to Galaxies Edge that shades absolutely nothing except a few ants on the pavement

If they're so concerned maybe they should make entirely indoor queues, regardless of what it will do to their air conditioning bill. I would think that would be the issue, not the minutes spent on the ride itself.

Walt Disney World's My Disney Experience app already holds a detailed picture of each guest's day. Dining reservations, Lightning Lane bookings, and real-time location data within the park are all available through the platform.

Okay, so what if I don't pay extra for Lightning Lane and haven't booked a bunch of expensive dining reservations?
