Awesome! It really is.
The cast members are the old school-long timers who love their jobs and it shows.
Several were able to help me out in a way that brought back some of the magic that I’ve missed.
The parks are so clean because guests are taking breaks and eating in designated areas.
The bathrooms and restaurants are clean and tidy because of crowd control - only a few people in at a time.
The lines are socially distanced so no one is stepping on your heels wishing you would go faster thru the cue. This only issue happens when someone zones out and gets too close. A very gentle reminder of ‘a little space please’ with very smiley eyes is all you need for that.
The weather, well, it’s Florida. It’s beautiful (after that brief downpour).
It seems crowded but that’s because everybody is outside. You have to cue outside for rides, shops, restaurants, everything. Everyone is calmly waiting their turn and enjoying their families.
Disney really has done a great job with this crazy situation!
Today has been a great day!
These forums have been so helpful in helping plan out this last minute trip. Thank you, Everyone!
Bonus: We made it onto RoR!!
(again, thank you!)

Isn't it funny that whenever I read thread titles like this I immediately anticipate a rant cause that's basically what we have been reading mostly. It's refreshing to see someone actually had a great time.

I have castmember friends. Some were let go and some were called back. They all learned a big lesson to not take things for granted and they said they are so appreciative that they still have jobs in the place that they love.

Fingers crossed for your friends that lost their jobs that they will have the chance to return in the future.

Are you sure you are at Disney??? According to those posting on here youd think....
1. CM hate their jobs. They are all rude and miserable. They are just 2 seconds away from being laid off, so why care.
2. They dont pay attention to, or help, or care about the guests. No one is knowledgable about anything and if asked, cant answer simple questions. You need to find out where to write in a complaint.
3. Theres trash everywhere you look. Trash barrels overflowing, trash blowing around the walkways.
4. Bathrooms disgusting. Theres no janitorial staff that is on top of cleaning. Smells reeking throughout the bathrooms.
5. No ones paying attention to distancing. The parks are a virus filled petri dishes. Youll certainly die by being there.
6. The weather is constantly humid, hot as heck, pure misery. Disney orders rain so they can sell their insanely expensive rain gear.
7. Its so crowded that no one can get anything done. Being there is a waste of your money. All the rides are broken and theres nothing to entertain you.
8. Disney doesnt know what they are doing. Everything is in pandemonium. They should have stayed shut down. They dont need the money. They dont care if you all die.
9. You may think you have had a great day... but you are soooo wrong. You apparently are a Disney kool aid drinker and are oblivious to reality. You could only enjoy Disney years ago when there wasnt greedy, heartless people in charge.
10. Yes these forums are helpful... but only if you pay attention to the right minded posters.
11. Bonus. How did you get on RoR? No one gets on RoR. If you did I'm sure it broke down and you didnt enjoy the SW attraction that doesnt deserve a spot at Disney cause its not what Walt would have wanted in DHS.

I know...You are actually at Uni, ( or any other park you can think of) where they do everything better than Disney. ;););)

You’re pretty much spot-on, especially # 9 and 10. Thanks for a great laugh!

I think all new members should read this list just so they can prepare for all of the doom-and-gloomers they will inevitably meet here. :D

So true. Many times on this forum I’ve been discredited or chastised for saying other than the mask I loved my trips to WDW during the pandemic. Of course none of these negative Nancy’s have actually been during the pandemic.

It’s great to see a positive thread on this forum.

You arent the only one. I thought this thread was going to be about the thread creators delusions of grandeur.

OMG spot on.

You forgot one. There is no longer any reason whatsoever to stay onsite, since they've gotten rid of all the perks.

It's now almost a crime on here to say you like Disney and God help you if you say you had a good time at Epcot.

I can't wait for my trip in September

You are right... But she didnt mention that she was staying onsite. I was addressing just her comments. Had she said something positive about her experiencing a resort stay I surely would have. We are going in May and I'm hoping I can report my stay as she did.... so I can be shown by others how wrong I am too.

My DW and I were there in early December for our second Disneymoon...Coming from NJ, we actually felt safer on property, than we do at the Depot, Loew's, our supermarket, etc...didn't see ONE CM with a frown on their face...(although with the mask, you couldn't tell) lol...all of the CM's we encountered seemed happy and upbeat...I honestly didn't think I would enjoy it with the masks on (maybe the cool temps), but we had a GREAT week and are returning in mid-May...so looking forward to this as well!
The ONLY thing I was a little disappointed in was that we stayed for the first time at GF...(we're NOT a "frou-frou" resort family for the amount of time we spend at our resort)...Elevators needed to be painted, our room needed some tweaks too, but all in all, we had an awesome time!

Yes, I thought about all of the cast members who lost their jobs. Hopefully they'll be back doing what they love or have moved on to something they'll love.
