Which would make total sense any way…the swan is basically attached and sits on Disney owned land
Absolutely! But what was reported initially was that you had to have a reservation (room, dining, or activity) at a Disney resort.

Since the policy wasn’t officially announced by disney - there was no fine print about who actually could get on the bus or not.

Then why all the fuss here?

People love to assume Disney is out to deny them at every turn when I’ve always found the opposite to be true.

They charge a lot but they want you to have a good time. At least those of us who go there with that intention.

Nobody missed it we’re just not wanting to jump to conclusions about what it means like some of you are. This could just as well mean it’s a permanently enshrined policy that’ll be implemented at every busy season. Which…has been done anyway. So. Lateral movement.
Disney rarely publishes policies like this because they are often enforced - or waived - at the discretion of the CMs based on Disney’s business needs at the time.

That said, if you find yourself caught off guard and negatively impacted, just talk to a CM. They’re there to help guests, not to figure out how to make things difficult for them.

Not quite…

Skyliner had a couple of clear objectives

And I said those…I just wasn’t here yet

But back in the old hood…before the gondola…the nuts convinced themselves they were dredging a channel from Caribbean to the back of Epcot…somehow convincing themselves it made sense 😂
Even the most cautious among us sometimes engage in a little wishful armchair imagineering. I know I have.

But how do you explain the Skyliner if “they’re not gonna outlay huge overhead costs for something more “pretty” or “magical”?”

The primary goal was to slap dvc into a place it did not belong…hence the concrete monster next to “Aruba” 🙄

But it also allows for higher prices on the three “cheaper” hotels…decreases the need for buses in that concentrated section…and provides a cheaper overhead form -they hoped - as a test case.

Now I don’t believe it’s done what they’ve hoped…but worth a try

Come on, now…this isn’t all that hard to track
