News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

I’m more of an “open resorts” person, especially for restaurants and grounds (not pools)
Same. They solved the pool issue with the gates, which I think they needed to install for insurance anyways (not totally sure, I don’t want to make a baseless claim!!! ;) )

I enjoy wandering the resorts just as much as the parks - Anaheim and Paris included!

nobody wants to wander around a boring place like the Riviera!
That’s what’s funny about the claim about the library, that room is pretty basic and boring. There’s actually much more interesting places to work from home at the Riveria in my book.

Can we turn down the hostility?

Discussion doesn’t have to be a battle to be fun. I thought the point was a good one- everything has gotten more expensive, hasn’t it?
I’m sure most can…and then you have the outliers 😈

By the way…I’m not wrong with this…whether it’s said outloud or not

It is…what it is..

The brand will never love you back.
I don't care about a brand liking me or tolerating me? It's a big multi billion dollar corporation, not my highschool crush. I say it how it is, this helps people who paid money to be there. That's good policy imo and I'm sorry but I don't see the point in complaining about doing something that you already have to do, all the time, in WDW.

There are posters who act like lovers scorned and then project those feelings onto others who just like WDW for the fun.

Agreed on that, I had flat out said I dislike quite a few things when I dislike them, th problem is that I don’t dislike EVERYTHING Disney does even when it makes sense.

I absolutely hate that they are trying to get into AI, it’s anti consumer and anti actual art which should be the defining feature of their brand.

I dislike a few other things but overall I love what they’re doing. Does that make me a shill? Or something? I don’t know, I guess so… I just have too much fun I guess

I think you nailed it. I’m more of an “open resorts” person, especially for restaurants and grounds (not pools), but I can see why paying guests would want exclusivity.

Maybe that’s why the newer resorts lack in real theming or ambiance– nobody wants to wander around a boring place like the Riviera!
I like the Riviera!

Disney has always invited non-resort guests to explore the resorts. It used to be easier to do so.

My guess is a combination of parking issues and an extra layer of security. Access to many places got more difficult in the last 25 years.

Having fun definitely works against you. As far as I can tell, it is acceptable to have fun as long as you admit to being a fool for spending your time and money at Disney.

Only joking about the Riviera, since so many people around here complain about it!

The building is nice…the facilities are meh…it’s in the wrong spot. A whacky experiment that isn’t hard to figure out. The “how far will they go?…” to lock ya in for $50K…

Might have found Waterloo there with the trailers at the campground…

I will make sure to say my "I'm so dumb, I spend money at Disney and enjoy myself" a few extra times tonight
*eyeroll* - I’ve got a AP, Magic Key and D23 Gold and I love visiting Disney.

I can be critical of a bus / transportation policy and still have a great time at Disney. Lol.

I’ll definitely be watching this and consider one of the value hotels instead of the Wyndham on my next trips.

I've got none of that and still love it. 🤷‍♂️

and I get it. To me personally, some people just seem to have nothing good to say whatsoever which is just draining. I think the bus policy is not a big deal when it's literally just for the most busy times and if I'm not mistaken, atleast partially avoidable if you are on property at any Disney hotel or just pay the parking or pay for an Uber.

If this policy was spread to the full year, I would have a problem.

For some reason when you say “some people” have nothing good to say, certain posters insist on reading it as “all people” have nothing good to say.

Then they go on to thoroughly bash that straw man.

You know that all of this is utter nonsense.
That’s a pretty common (like 99% of the time) occurrence

No no no…

You can’t spend a dime and make legitimate comments calling for improvement. Nope.

Because it could affect someone’s 3 year countdown to vacation in the Midwest or rust belt…
Nope. It’s unmagical.

Well I wouldn’t need to pay for parking, I get that free. And I have other options, it’s just 1 less option.

1 less option isn’t a big deal unless you set out from the Wyndham with a plan that was based on that option. Then I’d be very annoyed.

IF Disney had publicly notified people of this policy change - then at least everyone could plan accordingly. But that isn’t the case as far as I know.

Actually kinda, yeah. That did not always lead to a poor final product (in the parks anyway, the film studio was a different story) but it did end up setting the stage for a lot of the mess that transpired in the rest of the 90s and into the 2000s. There was some fundamental flaws in their thinking and approach that didn’t rear it’d head immediately, only later.
Generally speaking…you’re well informed…

But on this stand you appear to have read the 2010 edition of “the big big book of revisionist Disney history as written by fanboys on the internet”
…abridged edition.

Difference of opinions can be scary, its understandable to lash out
Aiden, I don’t know what kind of person you are off these boards and I’ve defended you against personal attacks, but your behavior here is uniformly poor. You post nasty attacks and ad hominems and when enough posters call you on it you offer a disingenuous non-apology that tries to position yourself as the victim before immediately resuming the same behavior. You’ve done this repeatedly. You rarely engage meaningfully with debates and discussions and your posts are almost all knee-jerk, thoughtless boosterism.

From the way you clog threads with predictable nastiness I’m tempted to depict you as a mirror image of Raleigh, but Raleigh can sometimes make thoughtful points and never claims his behavior is anything other then what it is. It’s more accurate to say your importing some of the worst habits found on Twitter and other social media outlets to these boards.
