Trip Report Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho it’s off to TR’ing we go!!

And I swear, before anyone thinks I’m biting off @wdisney9000’s title I’m not!! I had the title in my mind while I was on the plane. Imagine my surprise when I opened up this app & saw his latest!! I debated but it was hard enough for me to come up with that title much less pick another one. @wdisney9000 I hope you’re ok with this!! And more importantly now that I know we’re both here at the same time I hope we get to meet up again!!

Ok, here we go!!

Here’s the crew(in the elevator-interesting place for a pic) when we first arrived here an hour ago!!

Leaving cold, dreary Pittsburgh behind!!

In a much warmer climate!!

We have a 1BR in The Springs section. Literally right across the street from the main building. Perfect!!

Check out the new soap/lotions!!

We headed to bell services to pick up our groceries & when I looked at the app I saw that they canceled our order!! I placed it again & it should be delivered this evening. I don’t understand why but the silver lining is that I took off the hand soap now that Disney has liquid in the room. We normally always order a liquid one so it saved us a few bucks!!

Some of us did the walk of shame this morning. We’ll, actually we all did but H & T aren’t flying out until tonight so they dropped their luggage off & are spending the day at MK!!

We dropped ours off & the bellman offered to drive us to the bridge at DS.

I have to ask, I would prefer to stay in the Mansion's rather than Alligator Bayou. You always seem to have a room in the mansions. Do you make a request? We are also hoping to catch Yee Ha Bob.

You’re right, more often than not I end up in the mansions. I think I’ve only been in the bayou twice now in 20some stays at Riverside. In all those stays I’ve only made a request one time. Years ago I was with my niece, H. She did not want to stay in the bayou so I requested the mansion section. The rest of the time has been sheer luck.
I hope you get to see him!! Get there early to get a good seat!!

I was at FQ for 3 weeks and came home Monday, visited Riverside (well Muddy Rivers!) a few times and noticed the frozen JD & coke was no longer available too .
Room looked lovely too. Will tag along on this report as Disney blues have set in seriously

I love how spacious the 1 bedroom villas are with DVC!

This was super spacious. We were in a 2 bedroom.

Both hotel rooms look so nice! At Riverside was that a regular mansion room?

Yes, it was. I was in the Magnolia Bend section.

One of my daughters sent me a photo of those margarita glasses, I’m very jealous. I definitely need a grown up sippy cup , hopefully they’re available next time I’m there

Omg…those glasses are genius!

JSR didn’t care for them. He said it would be impossible to put salt on the rim!!

Orca makes these (minus the Epcot branding) and they sell them at Buc-ee’s!
I’ve gifted them a few times.
They also make a martini version - I’ve gifted that even more (much easier to walk your martini around the cul de sac with a lid! )

FYI, I can't do corn tortillas either. It is a texture thing!

And of course it was beautiful yesterday-the day we’re leaving.
I totally agree!! I love corn chips but tortillas absolutely not!! I don’t like the texture either & they crumble and fall apart unlike the flour ones.

Add me to the hate corn tortillas list.

Flower and Garden is definitely my favorite of the festivals, and I want to make it a must do next year. Unfortunately, I couldn't work out the time this year to go, but, depending on the dates, might be making it to Food and Wine!

I finally got to read all about your recent trip which sounded like a fabulous trip! The heat really feels overwhelming to me also after a long COLD winter in the NE because our body just can't seem to adjust to the change that quickly! Your 2-bedroom villa at SS looks beautiful! All of your meals on this trip look fabulous and we are definitely going back to Cake Box before the year is out to experience it once again! I bet those LL's were the perfect birthday gift for Joey with the Spring Break crowds! So glad you were able to get away and enjoy some down time with the family! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful adventures with us Patti!!!

I really couldn’t believe how much it bothered me especially with as cold as it’s been for so long!! I thought I would be excited to be in warm weather. I hope I do better on my next few trips bc it’s only going to get warmer!!
For as disappointed as I was with Cake Bake the first time I will say my opinion is changing a bit now!!

It’s that time again…..

We’re at the airport now waiting on our plane to arrive. As it was last year for the Rick Springfield extravaganza J is not joining us. E & H flew down yesterday morning. R & I had a wedding to go to last night so we couldn’t leave until today.

E & H took the 5:00am flight & kept me updated on their events of the day. An early morning arrival at MK. Walked on some rides. Had to be towed back to shore on JC. Visits to Beak & Barrel and Trader Sam’s.

Their room was ready later in the day.

Since they are staying at The Boardwalk they made sure to get a dinner reservation at The Cake Bake Shop.

H & I really like the Angel Hair Pomodoro. She got the Chicken Piccata & said it’s a close second to that.

I’m excited to be joining them soon!!Maybe not to hear “Jessie’s Girl” over & over again but what can I do??
