Trip Report Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho it’s off to TR’ing we go!!

And I swear, before anyone thinks I’m biting off @wdisney9000’s title I’m not!! I had the title in my mind while I was on the plane. Imagine my surprise when I opened up this app & saw his latest!! I debated but it was hard enough for me to come up with that title much less pick another one. @wdisney9000 I hope you’re ok with this!! And more importantly now that I know we’re both here at the same time I hope we get to meet up again!!

Ok, here we go!!

Here’s the crew(in the elevator-interesting place for a pic) when we first arrived here an hour ago!!

Leaving cold, dreary Pittsburgh behind!!

In a much warmer climate!!

We have a 1BR in The Springs section. Literally right across the street from the main building. Perfect!!

Check out the new soap/lotions!!

We headed to bell services to pick up our groceries & when I looked at the app I saw that they canceled our order!! I placed it again & it should be delivered this evening. I don’t understand why but the silver lining is that I took off the hand soap now that Disney has liquid in the room. We normally always order a liquid one so it saved us a few bucks!!

We got on the next bus at 8:13 & made it in the park by 8:30 for early entry!!
Side note-we would have made it in sooner had it not been for the overwhelming amount of people that felt so free to cut the line. It was appalling.

Here was the end of the line for Guardians!!

I saw a lot of the same people that were cutting the line at the entrance doing the same thing at Guardians.

J was a happy camper. We were seated in row 1 without asking(which is what he wanted) & we got the song he was hoping for-“September”!!

We went to Test Track next(via single rider). From the start of the Guardians line until the time we got off it was only an hour so that wasn’t bad but Test Track was showing 80 minutes at this point & I didn’t have it in me to wait in another decent line again so single rider it was!!

We enjoyed the new version!!

A stop at Club Cool is always a must for J!!

It was 10:30 & WS was an absolute zoo!! Lines were already forming for food booths that weren’t opening for 1/2 hour! The line for LaCava was all the way out into the lobby when you first walk into the pyramid & it wasn’t open yet either!! No Pepe’s Special for me!! The lines were unbelievable everywhere!!

Hello!! Long sleeves in Disney?? I can't even imagine it after this past summer!! I feel like being a Disney cop would be so fulfilling, sending people to the back of the line!! Grr!!!

That charcuterie board looks like the stuff of dreams. The lasagna too! With every trip report I see it, I think more and more that Terralina is severely underrated.

We got it the last time we ate there & it was amazing then too!! E was bummed bc she got fried green tomatoes last time which she loved but sadly they’re no longer on the menu.
I agree that it’s underrated!!

Yay! I have been looking forward to this TR since reading in @MickeyCB’s TR that she was meeting up with a friend from Pittsburgh

Looking forward the rest of your report! I agree, coming up with a name for your TR is the hardest part. It makes me feel less weird that I'm not the only one who starts thinking of a name before the trip even starts!

If I do the TR once I get home it’s easier bc I can come up with something based on what happened during the trip. But, there’s the problem-my life is so hectic that I struggle to do them when I get home!! @littleroo told me how much easier it is to do them live & I totally agree with her!!

So glad you are writing another trip report!! I hope you never tire of Disney !!

And a cold front came in & it’s supposed to be in the 30’s this morning!!
I know it’s colder at home but at least I’m not outside all day there!! But, who am I kidding-we’ll probably be in Baseline all day!!

How was Beak and Barrel? We have a reservation there for next Sunday. What drinks did you have?

It was good. E really enjoyed it there.

I had the Siren’s Whisper(based on H’s recommendation-she had it in December). It was good. E & H both had the Salty Seas Marrrgarita which they both liked a lot.
In October I had the Lit Fuse-I do not recommend that one at all. The smokiness of it was so strong that it totally overpowered the drink. We had the Island Provisions which we both liked(it was H & myself that time). We didn’t get food this time since we had lunch reservations shortly after.

J is getting so big, he looks like a young man and not a child anymore. Time is a thief.

Tell me about it!! It’s crazy how it flies by!!

After we left Mexico we heard from the rest of the crew. They got to Epcot, tried to get both Starbucks & Joffrey’s but the lines were insane so they kept on walking to The Cake Bake Shop & got it there. J & I were hungry so we decided to stay in Epcot to get something to eat. Not the wisest move…
Nothing at the million mile long food booths was thrilling J. We decided to head to Les Halles.

But first…

The weather was beautiful but would do a complete turnaround in the next few hours.

The line for Les Halles. It was 11:15.

We passed & went to Katsura Grill. That’s never crowded, until today. I didn’t get a picture but the line was out the door.

J picked up a few treats.

And what did we end up eating just to get something in our stomachs?

The only place that didn’t have a wait-an ice cream cart!! You know I must have been starving to get that bc I’m not a big ice cream fan!!

We had planned on doing Remy single rider & getting food(as you see that wasn’t going so well) but the skies were ominous & we knew the rain was coming. We went to meet the rest of the crew.

There’s something new & different

At 12 the Boardwalk pizza place opened. R & J got that(of course) & headed over to the Yacht Club with it to beat the storm.

I decided on this.

I got the kid’s corn dog. It took forever to get it. I knew I wasn’t going to beat the storm at that point so I decided to just eat there.

You can’t tell from the pictures but trust me when I say the winds were crazy!!

We sought shelter at Ale & Compass!!

After the weather subsided we headed back to Epcot.

But not before saying hello to some friends!!

Donald put this post-it on J’s back without us knowing. It was so funny!!

As soon as R heard the music we had to stop here. He loves listening to them!!
After one song the rest of our party bailed!!

R hadn’t made it to Rose & Crown yet so that was next.

Then back here for their next show. Don’t worry-this didn’t turn into the Rick Springfield saga!!

Their last song(which I totally love & was singing away) was “Your Love” by The Outfield.

After the show we headed to our dinner reservation. R was really impressed when he & I ate here last year so he requested this one for this trip.

My first plate. That’s a beer cheese soup there. It’s very good but very filling. I’m glad I didn’t get the pretzel bread that goes with it.

Plate #2. Can you tell I love carbs? BTW-the macaroni salad there is so good. I really loved it last time & it was just as good this time around!!

We all enjoyed dinner!! Afterwords we headed out of Epcot. It was really chilly since the sun wasn’t out.

I'm a couple of hours southwest of you and have been wondering how everyone at Disney is doing with this weather! It was definitely hurricane force winds down here yesterday, but never got any of the rain that was supposed to come with it. Hoping it warms up and hug Darstarr for all of us!

We love the Biergarten. I have also learned to get the soup and leave off the pretzel roll (allows more room for other stuff). I don’t understand the stick your tongue out picture pose. My grandkids do it too.

We’ve eaten there at least 3 times (maybe 4…?! ) over the years, and have always enjoyed it.
My wife and myself have a lot of of German blood in our background, thus so do our 3 kiddos ( @wdisney9000 ), so there’s that.
I think I had at least one of everything, and then washed it all down with a liter of Warsteiner…!!!!!

The winds were super crazy!! We got rain here, not horrible & definitely not the crazy Pittsburgh rains that I’m used to but rain nonetheless!!

Another fabulous day in the books!!

We had an absolutely awesome crew at Baseline today!! I’m sure you know all these fine people!!

I’m sure there was no doubt in anyone’s mind but let me say that @wdisney9000’s crew were an absolute pleasure to meet & hang out with!! And, I explained my TR title “situation” to him & we’re still friends!!

Hanging out with Darstarr is always a blast but throw in @wdisney9000 & it’s a total party!!

Representing-with the CM!! Trust me, she loved us!!

What a great photo-if I should say so myself!!

After enjoying some time together we parted ways. R had left early on to go back to Saratoga(he wasn’t feeling well). Us 5 went to do single rider on Rise. We’re still scratching our heads as to what happened. We literally walked all the way through & right onto the ride. J, E, H & Darstarr were put in the same row & I was in the car behind them. It was a total of 10 minutes from start to finish & the 4 of them were together. It was so fun & we still are wondering how that happened!!

E, J & Darstarr headed to A.S.S. while they booed H & I for heading somewhere else…

And no, it wasn’t here. This was just a stop along the way!!
