I absolutely love this. Mimicking the front of the Chinese Theater, but with all animated characters signing their names, feels like one of those small Disney magic detail things that will go unnoticed by most, but adds to the whole thing.
I love the self-referential side as well, as this might be the closest (at least in terms of physical distance) homage to a classic park element that I can remember. It strikes me as both clever and funny, and looks much better than an unbounded expanse of walkway.

Yes, an homage to a park element. But even the "classic park element" is a homage to the real thing in Hollywood. Those are actual hand prints in front of the HS Chinese Theatre, BTW.

Now restore Pixar studios in glory and expand it all the way to Toy Story land entrance and add Marvel (in some way), Lucasfilm and Fox round the hub and we've got Hollywood Studios' soul back!
All the contract and legal stuff aside-- maybe this is a hot take.. but I hope they keep all the Marvel stuff on the west coast, domestically. I haven't really been a fan of anything they have done with Marvel tbh. Now if that Avengers King Thanos ride ends up being incredible (and they can somehow get out of that contract with Universal) I would totally be on board with them bringing only that ride to Hollywood Studios..... but not so much the whole (boring) Avengers Campus

I just wish there wasn't that loophole that let them use Guardians.
