I would argue that putting Tron in TL was the alternative to changing Space drastically. Plus, more guest capacity and LL$$$

Ah... memories. Remember how with TRON opening that would allow Disney to finally update Space Mountain?

While the past doesn't necessarily determine the future, the way Disney has treated those attractions in the past means they will continue as-is. There have been plenty of opportunities and rationales to have taken advantage of with regard to these attractions, and they haven't done anything except to keep them as is, even it if means complete neglect or constant repair.

Well following Disney’s current philosophy Stitch is an underutilized space.

Speedway would be nice to be updated to Tron vehicles or go electric. Space needs some love and I have feeling it’s the next ball to drop.

I wish the zig-zag and cross hatch patterns didn't return though.....

They have always been kind of ugly in my opinion.

TRON would have been way better in DHS... they could have created an entire world Of Tron for it... rather than a one-Off that relates to nothing else....

I wonder if they intend for Cars to eventually be the spiritual replacement for the Speedway? I wouldn't personally mind losing Speedway, but if they keep it, they need to at least swap in electric cars. I feel a partial reason they haven't yet is because they aren't sure if will be around another decade.

They're around, but when Disney announces every major thing coming in a five year plan, there ain't much for them to say.

I also think Disney is running a tighter ship as far as information leaking and such.
