Being a Disney Influencer

Uh
Didn't realise to have a job you had to be a dignified professional.šŸ™„
I don’t hold marsupials to the same standards

And as I’ve said bout 5 times here…no one must agree

I am not for the promotion of Disney fan vanity or self soothing…those are the nerves vloggers are poking. I get the appeal…I just don’t like effects.

And though I say it more…my opinion is NOT the strongest against it here. Trust me. Some have said it’s destroying the parks and i’m starting to see the angle more and more.

But it’s only what I think…not everyone’s cup of tea

1. Who are you on about? I'm not a marsupial.
B. It's not really a matter of opinion. If someone is doing something that pays a wage , it's a job.
You can be of the opinion it's not a conventional job . I would agree on that. It is however a job.

That’s really between them and the accountants…and landlords, creditors, etc

It’s not out of left field….one ā€œprominentā€ vlogger of whom I speak was approached one day by some members here and on other forums and basically said he’s struggling and just shows up every day.

…at least If you get laid off from Chick-fil-A…you can collect unemployment šŸ¤“

It's the same in many industries. Hang in there for a time until you realize you're going nowhere in that position and either move on or resign yourself to stay in a job you hate that never satisfies. You accept a lifestyle that stagnates and you never feel like you reached your potential. You hate your life and blame everyone for your bad fortune.
With the influencers, the top 1% or so who made it in first and were good enough, made the bucks in time. They developed and hung onto their followers and developed more over time, adding to their notoriety. Those new names, start ups, following behind with hopes they too could make it pretty much copy the others and maybe get a modicum of followers. The big well known names continue on staying on top.
People have to realize the situation they are in and make the timely choice to stick it out or move on. Many had poor education or bad breaks or bad circumstances beyond their control which limits their ability to get anywhere and stay stuck in place. Unfortunately many wait too long or fear to make the change which could improve their status and end up with lives they eventually regret.

Are you speculating or are you familiar with the influencer scene? (I am not.)

I hope this isn’t the case, it sounds depressing. I think at least a substantial portion of would be influencers do have other jobs and influencing is something of a side hustle.

On whether or not influencing is a job… this is a semantic debate, of course. It’s not a traditional job, but we’ve had struggling artists and waiters-aspiring-to-be-actors for longer than influencers. And now with the gig economy and side hustles - people earn a living in all kinds of ways. Again, it’s not a traditional 9-5 office job or a traditional profession so I guess it depends on what you’re talking about. But it’s certainly a way for some people to earn a living.

This doesn’t scream ā€œdignified professionalā€ to me…unless the role of the kings fool has returned.

Did someone try to claim that they were all "dignified professional"? There is a wide range of quality among these people just like in any profession. I have worked with highly paid employees that I wouldn't consider a "dignified professional"

A lot of words just to say yes it is a job.

Im judging through the lens of ā€œjob vs hobbyā€

There is a bit of professionalism to all jobs in my experience…hobbies are more ā€œhave at itā€

I’m trying not to get too deep on the phenomenon…because it’s not good for anyone to squeeze that paste out of the tube.

Opinions vary

Now if you excuse me…i have an interview to become a space cowboy I need to prep for šŸš€
Yes you are correct. Opinions vary.
Facts don't.
Let's make this easy on you and give an example.
Person A is a race car driver
Person B is also a race car driver.
Person A races for a top tier Motorsport team. Gets paid a huge salary.
Person B races at the weekend on local tracks for fun.
Both are racecar drivers. Fact.
One does it as a Job. Fact.
One does it as a hobby. Fact
I don't think race car driver is a job . Opinion.

Hopefully that is plain enough for a wannabe space cowboy like yourself.

I said right up top I’d consider it a ā€œhobby that you can make money fromā€

There might not be the ā€œthereā€ there that you think might be there.

I have encountered a lot of people who were unprofessional in their jobs, and lots of people who were very professional in their hobbies. I don't think you can correlate professionalism and whether it's a job or hobby.
