I've really tried to like Toad's... I just can't.

I have yet to find food in the park I can just enjoy and want to eat (which I can in DL/DCA). Admittedly, for whatever reason, I have yet to eat at Simpsonsland.

Never ate at Simpsons Land before because the place is usually mobbed when we go on weekends. On this off season Wednesday though it was quite empty. The burger was good/ edible. I literally could not eat the burger at Toads Cafe.

Toad’s may have been the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had in a theme park restaurant.

Lovely 73 degree day with crystal clear views of the valley at USH today. Park was pretty empty with all the big rides averaging 5-10 minute waits except Mario and Simpsons at 20. Cherry picked this day. 2 weeks after peak Spring Break and middle of the week. Walking onto ride after ride on a beautiful Spring day in So Cal is pretty cool. Especially when you re playing hooky

Some Miscellaneous Universal thoughts:

No crowds make everything better. I got to experience Simpsons land without it being mobbed by people and was definitely more enjoyable. Still wouldn’t shed a tear if it goes but definitely had a good time with my son who has become a big fan of the show

First time walking through the entire Potter queue. Absolutely fantastic. Never saw the outdoor extended greenhouse queue. For some reason they made us walk through the whole thing even though it was a Walk On. Best queue in So Cal followed by Indy.

Surprise surprise Nintendo Land is much more enjoyable without the crazy crowds too. Didn’t feel over stimulated. All the mini games were a walk on.

Would have been a great day for the Studio Tour but didn’t get to it.

I don’t see myself getting a pass again for at least 2-3 years or whenever the park gets some new attractions. It desperately needs another dark ride and family coaster. Key word family. I consider Hippogriff a kiddie coaster.
