What attraction "grew" on you the most?

When I was younger, I couldn't be dragged into the Energy Adventure attraction at Epcot, which is now one that I do at least a couple times on each trip.

What attraction did you either resist with a passion or passionately despise which has somehow snuck up on you to become... dare I say... beloved?

Epcot!!

As a kid in the 80s the park was so boring. As much as I liked the rides, we wanted more Big Thunders and such. But then, with each subsequent vacation, I liked Epcot more and more. I appreciated all of those omnimovers and the like, and was really enjoying WS. Now it may be my favorite park to just walk around and hang out, especially at night. And World Showcase is real cool.

I appreciated Epcot, eventually, ha ha.

I would have to say the Whinnie the Pooh ride at Magic Kingdom. I loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride so it was hard to accept the new replacement, but Disney did their magic and it's alright now!

I hated big Thunder Mountain Railroad the first time I road it. Screamed at my parents the whole time for dragging me on. And now, I love it.

I also didin't like Muppets. Not sure why. I just, didn't like it. Now it's alright.

Ellen is at the top for me as well. The only reason I liked the original was for the dinos and somehow thought this would be worse and was nothing more than a pop icon bandaid. However I found it to be extemely enjoyable, although I can do without the Ellen AA.

Snow White is another. I don't remember being impressed with it before but now it's decent.

Hall of Presidents. It was one of those "good for you" attractions we had to do once a trip. Now that I'm older I can appreciate it more.

COP. Wasn't really my type of attraction, now one of my favorites. Seeing all the characters take over makes me sad because it's a constant reminder that it is only a matter of time...

The audio animatronics show at the American Adventure. I used to think it was long and boring. Now its my favorite thing in EPCOT.

I'd say pretty much the entire Epcot park, lol

Like most people I dint't really enjoy it as a kid, but it's moved its way up to being just below the Magic Kingdom as my favourite park

Of the three classic EPCOT rides, Horizons was my favourite, followed by World of Motion and Spaceship Earth. Now I treasure SE since it's the only one left.

I think every attraction in the place grows on you, especially when you go on them as children and then continue to experience them until you are older. But both the Hall of Presidents and the American Adventure are probably the two that grow on people the most, because of the growth of latent childhood patriotism and willingness to learn while on vacation. That, and I love seeing people as they leave those attractions. It may sound corny, but everyone leaves those shows proud.

I'm with Nicholas and Don - TTA is now a favorite - and Epcot on the whole is a must see can do several days in a row park - which it certainly was not when i was a kid...

Thread Bump!

I know (Holy Thread Bump Bat Man!) GOI
Anyway now that that has been established.

I will have to agree with other post in saying TTA but as a whole DHS took a couple of trips for me to really appreciate it.

Animal Kingdom

The first time I was there I thought it was way too much walking just to see some animals. Now that I know my way around, I'm liking this park more and more. With the addition of Asia and in paticular Expedition Everest, it went from a 4 hour park to almost an all day park.

A lot has to do with me slowing down to see all the small details and enjoying everything AK has to offer. Buying lunch at The Flame Tree Bar B que and strolling over to the quiet dining tables and enjoying the view of EE has become a regular part of our trip. It's really relaxing. We even have learned to enjoy the short train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch now and strolling around that area. In short, if you take the time to "Smell the roses" Animal Kingdom is a wonderful park.

Snow White's Scary Adventures....

i remember going on it when i was little because i loved snow white. I cried and screamed the entire time....

i never went back on it...i was like traumatized by it.

but then about two years ago i went with a friend who really wanted to go on it so we did and i ended up LOVING IT! we do it every trip now....most times two or three times a trip.

Also Haunted Mansion. I was terrified of that when i was little and now it is one of my favorite rides :)
