The symmetry of Epcot Center was sacrificed for not a lot of gain. That video and the update to Sorin makes that abundantly clear!

I used to walk directly through the center and around the fountain. Now I skirt by the spine following the path just outside Creations. The center feels like an area that is avoidable unless you need to cross from one side to the other.

well, that really doesn't change the fact that it's comparatively unattractive

And it's why I'm generally glad that it's a concept that Universal and Disney have both seemed to finally put a stop to doing again after it continued to have diminishing returns each successive time they tried it.

It was a thing in the 1980s. Not anymore. The only reason Hollywood Studios is still called that is because of the studio buildings in the middle of the park.
