These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Thank you for sharing your year of trips with us! I can't wait to read about the coming year! Sorry you didn't feel well on the last trip and it lasted through the holidays. Hope you're feeling better and stay well for this upcoming trip.

The lobby was already overrun with looky-loos. There was a treat table and the line to make a purchase was insane!

We didn’t linger long. I’m hoping the madness was due to opening day. The expected Christmas crowds shouldn’t have been due for another month!

Our room had not yet been serviced so Woody and I hung out in the Old Faithful Club for about an hour. We returned only to discover the room still hadn’t been done and the housekeeping carts were gone. We did have extra towels so we opted to put the privacy sign on the door and not call housekeeping.

I had really wanted a nap but now it was too late. Instead I sat on the balcony pondering dinner options while Woody showered.

Epilogue

When I awoke on departure day I was very thankful to be going home. I was also thankful that Woody was not sick and could do all the driving, as I napped off and on during the journey. I did go to urgent care and was prescribed antibiotics and steroids, which I am sure helped some, but my symptoms lingered through the entire holiday season. It was rough.

I will have fond memories of Woody’s birthday trip. My mind tends to filter out the bad stuff and remember the good, a benefit of being an optimist.

I appreciate each one of you for following me through another year of Disney - east and west coast! It was fun to share my trips and as always I enjoyed engaging with you in your comments.

2026 brings the opportunity to stay at two resorts new to me, which leaves Old Key West and Ft. Wilderness campground as the only Disney resorts where I have not stayed.

OKW has a better chance in the future than FW. My fridge magnet explains why.

So sorry that you weren't feeling well during your trip, but glad you still had a great time, and memories to go along with them. I swear that there must have been a lingering URI type of thing going around; because my mother and her sister both felt like you did in mid December, both got steroids and antibiotics, and are just now starting to get back to normal.
