That Awkward Moment When A Photo Of You Goes Viral...

This weekend one of my husband's students emailed him to let him know that a bunch of her friends from other schools had been sharing a picture on facebook when she realized it was her teacher! Haha! The thing literally went viral. It had nearly 13,000 likes on one page, it was the facebook cover photo on a page with almost 1 million likes, and is floating around everywhere. I seriously don't know whether to be creeped out or flattered! It was "stolen" from us and posted the first time over a year ago, which means they would have taken it off my facebook profile picture at the time. So, so weird!

After we started showing our family, many pointed out that they had seen it before and thought it was us! Definitely a weird weekend. Haha!

My feeling is somewhere in the middle. I would think it'd be a bit disconcerting to have a picture of yourself all over the Internet without your consent. On the other hand, it's a great picture that's being used to put forth a positive message.

Not like it's a picture of you and your husband getting into some kind of drunken shenanigans!

Thanks, all! It was pretty odd. Flattering that they wanted to make me the poster child of love and all... :-P but it was a little creepy to see myself floating around the internet.
