Planning to head to the grocery store our 1st day in D-town, what can we expect to pay for a taxi to any of the cheaper groceries near Saratoga Springs (Wal-Mart, Publix, etc)?

Try using Garden Grocer http://www.gardengrocer.com/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=115
They deliver your groceries right to the resort and are usually waiting for you when you arrive. Just call bell services and they bring the order right up. My family used them last visit (1/13-1/20/13) and would recommend to anyone. We order mainly snacks and breakfast food and for the connivence of not having to take away park or resort time its highly worth it!

We tried it for the first time last trip and worked out well.
We've never done this before, usually just dealt with what Poly concierge had, but this year staying at WLV and definately think having our own snacks/milk/donuts for late at night or early AM is the way to go.. and not to mention soda DH and DS are big fans of soda.. Not to mention the two bottles of white zinfandel we bring down in our luggage... if Green Grocer carried Beringer, Id order that too!!

Prices seemed very reasonable, being from NJ the prices almost equaled what we would pay at home. I hear some people say that depending on the grocery store you go to around WDW you may be paying through the nose on some products. But it also depends where your from and what you considered "ridiculous pricing"
