Shutters menu change?

I was recently looking at the menu and sometime very recently the theme changed. we have always thought Shutters had the best steaks on property, and it is a hidden gem, but now the food has an island theme. Does anyone know when this happened? They still serve the ribeye and strip steak but now with a new seasoning. Anyone eaten there since the change? When did this menu change occur? I can't find any information on it at all! I'm curious why there was no announcement.

Disney restaurants change their menu offerings all the time without advance notice. I understand your frustration since it has happened to me with Chefs de France...Le Cellier...Tony's Town Square...Liberty Tree Tavern...Whispering Canyon...those are just a few restaurants off the top of my head that no longer serve my favorite dish/dishes.

Shutters menu may have changed in keeping with the island theme of CBR. POFQ has creole food, Kona and 'Ohana have Polynesian food, Boma and Jiko at AKL are African influenced, etc.

As I understand it, the moderate resorts have a new executive chef - Chef Brian, formerly of California Grill at the Contemporary. He was promoted from his exec chef position at Cali Grill recently into the job overseeing all the restaurants at the moderate resorts. This could be his doing.

I really like Chef Brian - he is a really good chef who was very creative at California Grill. We got to know him over the years as he would often come sit with us at the bar late in the evening, and sometimes even try new dishes on us. It was always fun.
