The idea of a Toy Story Hotel always gives me a bit of an ick. Would you stay here again over the Shanghai Disneyland hotel?

We were so pleasantly surprised. We expected an All Stars but aside from no pool it was anything but value/budget. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic cast. Bigger room than expected with high ceiling. Very quiet room too. The whole place looked and felt like it only opened last week. We weren’t overly excited with the theme before arriving but once there it is done so tastefully and is really well balanced between themed and a good modern hotel.
We would certainly stay here again. The Disneyland was over double the price and we couldn’t justify it unless we had a day reserved just for the hotel. With 4 days in Shanghai (3 park days) TS was just what we wanted and more; clean, safe, hot shower and comfy bed, somewhere for breakfast plus an easy walk to the park and included early entry.
We booked a year ago and it worked out at 195 USD per night. 148 GBP / total for 5 nights was £739 which is exceptional for an onsite official hotel let alone one so good. Highly recommended, especially for a westerner broadening their horizons and dipping their toe into SDL.
