Sea Racers question

We are heading to Disney May 6 and we have a day or two of no parks. We were thinking of renting the sea racers at downtown or beachclub. Question, do they have racers that seat 4 people, 2 of them are kids, and where can you go with them? Do you have to stay near downtown or can you go anywhere there is water?

So far as I recall, at DTD you have to stay on the lake. You may not take them on the canals.

We rented a pontoon boat from OKW before and I recall seeing the racers being run between there and DTD....This was a couple years back so they may have changed....

They do not fit 4 people. Only 2.

Sea Raycers only fit two people... you might look into renting a slightly larger boat. If renting at Downtown Disney, you can use them on the waters at Downtown Disney, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Treehouse Villas, and Port Orleans. If renting at the Beach Club, you can use them on the waterways between Epcot and MGM.

Just some info... They do only seat 2 people. I had to take my son and then my daughter. The SeaRacers that can go out on Bay Lake can go faster then the ones @ the Boardwalk, DTD, OKW and elsewhere. I am not sure how fast but I was told there were limiters on all of them and the ones in Bay Lake go the fastest. We rented them at Boardwalk and then over at Ft Wilderness and there is a definate difference as small as it may be. For Bay Lake, they can be rented at Fort Wilderness, Contemporary, Poly, Grand Floridian and possibly the Wilderness Lodge.

OH and be careful... I hear the water ferry drivers come right at you!!! LOL

You can get them at the Wilderness Lodge. I would also agree that the Bay Lake area is the best. It has the best scenery IMO.
