Question on Split Stay--Luggage Delivery

I am going to Disney World in a couple of weeks. I booked Wilderness Cabins for my stay. I just added another day on to the beginning of my trip and I will be staying at All Star Sports for the arrival night. I arrive at MCO at 8:00 at night and figure I will get to All Star Sports around 9:30-10:00 if all goes well. I am thinking that I am going to ask them to hold my luggage as I do not want to stay up until after midnight for delivery. Also, I will be moving to Wilderness Cabins the next day. Is it possible to have them hold my luggage the first night and I can arrange to have them deliver it to Wilderness Cabins the next day? Who would I arrange this with--Magical Express and Bell Services? Thanks!

Yes
Magical Express will bring them to your room, and then when you go to check out and move resorts, either taken them with you in a taxi, or have the front desk send them to the next resort via Bell Services. I take a cab for split stays, because I like to have my bags with me, they are available in my room if I need anything, and the cab (Mears) is only a few dollars to go from resort to resort.

Does "Magical Express staff" take them to your room or do they just drop off all the luggage and let the resort's specific Bell Services take them up to the individual rooms?? I think its the later.

If so, when checking in you should be able to request that the bags stay at BS and then sent to the 2nd resort the next day.

IDK, it may be worth giving the resort a call.

If you absolutely don't want the luggage your first night, don't use the DME tags and carry it on the bus yourself. Then when you get to All Stars, just drop it with bell services and ask them to transfer it to Wilderness for you the next day. Then when you get to Wilderness, ask if the luggage has arrived yet (they don't always automatically deliver it to your room). Keep in mind it may not get there til late afternoon 5 PMish or so.

The odds of someone missing the message and still trying to deliver your luggage around 11 PM are just too great in my mind. And I believe that the delivery is handled by a different crew than the bell services group. I recall that they don't need to be tipped by the guest (since the guest may or may not be there when it is delivered) so that is built into what your hotel "pays" for the service on your behalf to ensure they get tipped. Last trip when our luggage was delivered the gentleman who did so was definitely not wearing the standard bell services uniform.
