Hi All!!
I plan on attempting to a trip report for everyone and I think a Pretrip will go a long way to ensuring that happens. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I haven't stayed here since I was a kid, and am very excited. My girlfriend and I are going together to celebrate our year anniversary (which actually falls in April but Free Dining wasn't available then and I did not feel like dealing with Spring Break crowds. Without much though, we are actually scheduled to stay their during Mardi Gras so that should be a neat, unique experience. We LOVE to eat and constantly spend way too much money that we don't have on trying new restaurants. I've attached our dining reservations for review as well. I've been to mainly all the places on the list, and I've actually realized that though this is the first trip I've individually planned...it's striking similar to my first trip ever to Disney in which I stayed onside (also at Riverside)
I anticipate lighter crowds from viewing crowd calenders. Being that it is Disney afterall, we are still going to rise very early to get to the parks. I've also attached Fastpass + reservations and recommendations would be great for people who have used it so far. Being that we are two adults (I'm 23, she's 36...I know lol) I thought Riverside would be a nice romantic alternative to some other resorts out there and am thinking specifically of the ferry ride to DTD as well as carriage ride around the resort grounds.
I've looked at crowd calenders and planning tools to determine which days we will be at the parks and the FP+ screen should give you an indication as to where we will be. However some additions to that plan that won't show up on the FP screen would be us attending Extra Magic hours at MK after Fantasmic and some drinks at Poly on our 2nd day. Also, due to the Flower and Garden Fest starting the 5th, we will be saving many of our snack vouchers to hit up the food kiosks as I loved them when I was there last year for Food and Wine. That being said, I would be open to advice on what park might be good to spend time at on the 3/3. And last but not least we will be doing the Wild Africa Trek in AK. We do plan on drinking around the world one day as well...so wish me luck!!
