I’m not sure you could pick a more jarring setting to place right next to Hogsmeade.
Galar is terribleGalar is the UK. It really depends on the region they recreate.
Watch them repurpose fast and furious for Pokemon insteadA practical Pokemon Snap would be the most obvious thing and the most complimentary to IOA. It could even be an all ages Omni-mover or trackless.
So that said, I give 50% odds on them doing something that’s complete nonsense.
Probably a combo of Viridian Forest, Mt Moon (as a backdrop), and Saffron City. Much like Super Nintendo World’s Mushroom Kingdom, I’m sure they’re going to try and fit as many iconic biomes and buildings into the first land. I’d like to see them pull a bit from Johto’s Ecruteak City as well as Mt Silver (the Pokémon equivalent of Mt. Fuji) to give the land a unique Japanese aesthetic, but they could also be saving that for another land further down the line.I wonder what regions they'll use. I assume Kanto to start since it's the original. But then what area? Perhaps the viridian forest or mount moon?
Fuchsia City. Have your town with small Pokemon exhibits all around, plus a gym, is on water so fits in with Islands, and it has the Safari Zone for a big e ticket rideI wonder what regions they'll use. Pokemon appears to have shifted to IOA based on IU forums rumblings.Do we know where Pokémon is going at UOR?
It could work at any of the parks, but I’d rather see Epic get a Luigi’s Mansion miniland and like LOTR for a new land, rather than more Nintendo-adjacent IP there.
Replacing Simpsons and backstage seems logical, or if they want to do another concept for a new land at USF, I mean MSI seems like it’d make more sense than LC, but I haven’t seen plans so I don’t know.
In any case, the reality we’re getting new lands at all the parks in addition to new rides over the next decade will keep a universal chugging alongside Disney’s announced and unannounced expansions.
That’s what I heard, sort of makes sense but not really for LC, would make more sense for Marvel if they added a new ride to it as part of an overhaul, but I guess they view LC’s theming as totally irrelevant since the land is just Mythos today.Pokemon appears to have shifted to IOA based on IU forums rumblings.
LC is dead land at this point. That’s what I heard, sort of makes sense but not really for LC, would make more sense for Marvel if they added a new ride to it as part of an overhaul, but I guess they view LC’s theming as totally irrelevant since the land is just Mythos today.
LC is dead space that needs replacing. They aren't replacing Marvel. Therefore it automatically makes more sense as a LC replacement. That’s what I heard, sort of makes sense but not really for LC, would make more sense for Marvel if they added a new ride to it as part of an overhaul, but I guess they view LC’s theming as totally irrelevant since the land is just Mythos today.
Absolutely, weird for there to be chatter that says otherwise.LC is dead space that needs replacing. They aren't replacing Marvel. Therefore it automatically makes more sense as a LC replacement.
Dr. Doom will never leave the park, it’s footprint is so small and while you are correct that the ride kinda sucks it works as a good weenie on the park’s skyline to draw attention in.Absolutely, weird for there to be chatter that says otherwise.
I could see AFTER LC they retheme Dudley like to SpongeBob, and overhaul Marvel with a Dr. Doom replacement and maybe Spider-Man and putting Hulk partially inside if they do an entire land redo, (but they have no plans to replace Dr. Doom sadly, despite it sucking, my guess is that a MSI redo like a 2030s project at the earliest would make sense), but that wouldn’t be until after LC, probably after other things at the park too.
Would love to see a ride added to Suess Landing for instance and activate it. The park doesn’t have a good family coaster or family dark ride like a SDMT or Toy Story Mania, so putting either here as like a Grinch ride would be cool.
It looks hideous but I know what you mean.Dr. Doom will never leave the park, it’s footprint is so small and while you are correct that the ride kinda sucks it works as a good weenie on the park’s skyline to draw attention in.
I’d also assume from operational costs it’s one of the cheapest rides to run in the park
