Noticing the parks are better upkept

So… your profile says you are 27. You have the mindset and temperament of an arrogant 20-something. But yet, you know what food at Universal was in 2010, when you were age 11, traveled to Tokyo at least twice, including at age 19, have been to all the Disney parks, plus 5 trips to DLP, and have been to WDW enough to know what most restaurants are like, were like, etc. You’ve done more world traveling than 99% of people around here, many of whom are far older.

At the age of 27.

That math ain’t mathin’.

Not to mention, you have admitted to using Grammarly to check coursework and know how to change AI-generated content to get past it. And get very defensive about AI usage when you. Bring. It. Up. Constantly. You’ve been around these forums for a hot minute but act like someone who has been around for 10+ years and has earned a lot of respect. Yet you wonder why people doubt you. 🧐 🤔
All I know is my freshman English teacher, Miss Zety in Maplewood Jr.HS in 1980 is spinning in her grave right now…lol

If you want to find a filthy bathroom on property or broken ride or peeling paint, you'll find it if you want to.
Disney is leaving money on the table: the Filthy, Broken and Peeling Tour. Enjoy this five-hour experience with a recently discharged former Cast Member who lurked behind the curtains, swept dirt under the carpet, and applied the 30 second rule in the kitchen for years before their manager decided they had finally seen enough. Your FBP Tourguide will take you behind the scenes where only maintenance workers and first responders go, so you can experience first-hand the joys of the malfunctioning trash collection system, plugged grease-water separators that haven't been cleaned out in years, last week's chicken carcasses rotting in dumpsters, and dirty diapers left on merchandise shelves. Ooh! and Ahh! at the massive mold sculptures being farmed in the famous Utilidors, watch Cast Members and Executives alike scamper and scramble out of the way when the daily rat patrol reclaims the dumpster enclosure, and personally plunge plugged toilets left by hapless tourists who have been eating theme park food for the last week. Help the park staff apply environmental coatings to railings, doorways, fences and signposts as you and your Tourguide spot missing or flaking surfaces. Imagine the pride in your voice as you point out to your family the twinkling lightbulb you replaced in the sign at the Arcade. Finally, you'll end your tour when the daily fireworks spectacular sets a random show building ablaze. After assisting in extinguishing the flames, participate in the nightly eye-rinse ritual as guests report to First Aid to remove fireworks debris from their faces. This exclusive adventure is priced at only $149.95 per person, theme park admission required. Guests must be 16 years of age or older, and must have full use of all extremities with no sight or hearing disabilities. Guests shorter than 4'10" may be asked to wear platform shoes. Some guests may find this experience strenuous and/or nauseating. WDW will provide basic personal protective equipment for tour participants, but is not responsible for any injuries or long-term mental distress experienced by guests on this tour. Reservations are required and the $100 Tour Deposit is non-refundable. This tour will operate daily regardless of internal or external environmental hazards.

EXACTLY.

I just don’t get the DLP apologists. I’d kill for their Frontierland, but the experience could be improved a lot. Food is so important to the experience, and it’s bizarre seeing the hate in Orlando and DLP seems to be immune to this criticism despite it being worse?
That’s a common trope on these forums when it comes to criticism.
It’s obvious what’s going on. I have a brain lol.

One person responded in bad faith almost certainly knowing what I meant instead of just pointing it out, and the other person understood what I meant.View attachment 909466View attachment 909465

And I edited my post and I immediately clarified. That should be enough, instead we got 1.5 pages trying to “own” me over a typo.

Like guys, I just want to talk about my positive experience today at the park’s being better upkept than I’ve seen Instagrammers complain about.

The ONLY thing I noticed was the hub lights at EPCOT.

Nothing else, and I mean nothing else was noticeable.

The only chipped paint on anything I saw was at some of the Boardwalk INN resort rooms from the hallways.

There literally wasn’t trash at HWS/EPCOT. And outside of maintenance issues on Rise, every ride looked great.

Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror need updates bad, but they’re not poorly kept up.

But regardless I was more focused on just general upkeep while walking around. WDW will never be TDL in terms of ride show quality, so that wasn’t my point to emphasize.
I’m glad you’ve noticed the changes that have been occurring behind the scenes lately with WDW.

I’ve been seeing social media posts highlighting things that broken for years now getting fixed. Who is ever in charge of maintenance must have been give more resources to repair things around property.

Covid era was an extremely mixed bag when it came to upkeep. I saw some posters say the resort was the most “poorly” managed out of all the properties globally which is definitely not true.

DLP fans… at least the ones living in France are looking at us like we’re so delusional and spoiled. Talk about a neglected resort for so long and still dropping the ball despite all the positive changes happening over there. I don’t speak French but I see the comments and they are not happy with the way the parks are being run especially the lack of capacity additions.

No new expansions at their castle park in 25 years and a half as*** attempt to fix WDSP. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

I think all of the Disney parks are heading into better direction. Hopefully the momentum keeps despite all the chaos happening in the world.

I can personally attest to this.

The French, and I have met multiple visiting WDW and Disneyland (I love talking and meeting people!) almost universally think both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom are better than Disneyland Parc Paris in a vacuum of the complete experience.

Totally agree on Disneyland Park, but I can honestly understand why people would feel that way about MK over Paris too, tbh.

Forget the entire resorts when you factor in all the parks, just no contest.

But the park of DLP is great still, and has a bright future if they invest in a new ride and deliberate food quality improvements.

I have found service at DLP to be significantly better than my first visit in 2013, people that love Disney seem to be working there now, which is a big deal for the overall excitement guests feel on property.
