Hmmm... Mickey's cursed, isn't he?
Maybe he made this guy upset...

Well Disney might as well copyright the word "dream" seeing as how it is usually one of the five or so buzzwords they constantly use in their advertising.Dreaming is now an upcharge activity which also requires a reservation starting 60 days out.
At least it's preferable to the loud spiel that plays over the star tunnel music in Space Mountain now apparently. And yet somehow this ride has been open for 20 years without them. that's the part of this I don't really get. Why now? Have guests gotten less able to figure out a rollercoaster lap bar?
It still boggles my mind how much money they wasted on the stupid wristbands and how many more important things we could have gotten for the money spent.Yes. At least I think they have.
These new screens have been up for (at least) a month already.
The Magicband screens have also been removed from small world, and RNRC (before it closed).
The bands do still light up at specific locations in the park though. A few of the golden statues still work, HM, and during at least one of the fireworks shows.
Having used the bands for several years, at least one of them is no longer working/charging. They were supposed to last longer than the non-charging bands. IMO, the hassle of charging them: taking them on/off over and over, having to find an outlet, having to keep track of the special charger cables far outweighs the small fun of the way the bands light-up. I've never played the game in GE, but the golden statues game never worked properly.
Instead of fixing the game, they just abandoned it. Once bitten twice shy.
This is one of the many ways the current era of WDW is flawed.
Having seen the video, most of us would not characterize it as something that is significantly aimed at improving safety. If it was decided a safety video was necessary and would improve rider safety that is absolutely more important and should be the priority.
I knew that was going to fail before it was even launched. They sold us interactive Magicbands that no longer interact as they were advertised to interact.
There is a recent push to increase throughput. And yet somehow this ride has been open for 20 years without them. that's the part of this I don't really get. Why now? Have guests gotten less able to figure out a rollercoaster lap bar?
It's either a modified slot machine or targets on a dartboard that Disney chooses from:Well Disney might as well copyright the word "dream" seeing as how it is usually one of the five or so buzzwords they constantly use in their advertising.
I would personally feel cheated if they had a extended refurb and don't bother to fix the yeti. Then again, I feel cheated that they let it stay broken for eighteen years in the first place especially with what they are charging.I do wonder when we’ll see a major refurb. Even ignoring the yeti, the mountain itself looks like it could use a good repaint
I am actually the drummer, percussionist and singer in a local rock band and we play one song in which I co-wrote the lyrics and one of the lines I wrote was "You have the power to make my dreams come true". I often tell my friends "The lyrics that actually sound poetic are not mine, the ones that sound like they came from a Disney theme park promotional film are the ones I wrote. It's either a modified slot machine or targets on a dartboard that Disney chooses from:
Magic/Magical
Dreams
Adventure
Wishes
Fantasy
Wonder
etc.
...and apparently in their attraction approval presentations...Well Disney might as well copyright the word "dream" seeing as how it is usually one of the five or so buzzwords they constantly use in their advertising.
That would be a welcome change, and make us rope droppers more efficient. There is a recent push to increase throughput.

It was decided by the legal team that not having a safety video opened them up to more financial liability in the event something happened. Do you actually think that a ride safety video on a roller coaster where you are held in by a lap bar actually improves rider safety? If somebody can't figure out not to wiggle out of the restraint and stand up or exit the vehicle than their stupidity is beyond hope and whatever happens to them is deserved. If it was decided a safety video was necessary and would improve rider safety that is absolutely more important and should be the priority.
A screen killed their brother and foreclosed on the farm. Why are we spam posting on a thread about themed safety video screens on Everest?
