Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin has been updated at Magic Kingdom with completely new gameplay mechanics, handheld blasters, laser targeting, and a revamped scoring system.

The old strategies and high-scoring targets no longer apply. We need an all-new hints guide for the refreshed attraction.

What's Changed:
  • Handheld blasters with red or green laser dots replace the mounted guns
  • No more 999,999 score cap - the new system allows much higher scores
  • Some old high-scoring targets have been removed or relocated
  • Target point values have been adjusted
  • Software-based scoring means Disney can change values
Share Your Tips:
  • Which targets are worth the most points?
  • Where are the high-value targets located in each scene?
  • Best shooting strategies with the new handheld blasters?
  • Any patterns or techniques that work better than others?
Post your experiences, scores, and strategies here to help build a complete scoring guide for the new Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

I had the opportunity to ride this weekend during a preview. We had fun! It's such an improvement over the prior version. I did not do very well (scored maybe in the 140,000 range) and only rode once so not sure I'm in a position to give any tips. You can hold the trigger down and it will automatically keep shooting. I did find it helpful to use my non-dominant hand to steady the gun. You have to be pretty precise in hitting the bullseye, so you need a steady hand. Perhaps more of a statement on my physical fitness but by the end my arm was burning similar to Toy Story Mania.
