Your -- WIDE???My wide wanted a third mug so we got another one. Here's one of the better Rummy bits.
I have an update for anyone interested. I wrote to Guest Services almost a month ago about my experience and finally heard back this weekend. Their response is, as you’d expect, pretty boilerplate, with rather vague expressions of regret, but it does include the following:A bigger issue we ran into is that they won’t sell you the skull mug unless you get it with the rum, even if you’re willing to pay full price for it. That’s absolutely bonkers and really exclusionary if you don’t drink or can’t drink. In the end, the server spoke to her manager and made an exception for me, but you shouldn’t be forced to plead your way out of purchasing alcohol, especially in a Disney theme park.
The longer you stayI enjoyed my experience at the Beak n’ Barrel, but it definately feels ‘rushed’.
I attended during a MNSSHP, around 10 pm.
The atmosphere was very well done and looked great.
Loved the lighting and all the eye candy to discover as you wander around and just check out the environments.
A shame you are rushed out of the door as this is a place one would want to sit in for a while and relax with friends.
I was sent to the Navigator Room , which was standing room only, so could not really see much of the other areas.
But I did walk around a little and check out a few fun features, such as the cat sleeping above the door and the ships in their bottles.
I ordered the Cursed Treasure for my beverage which was quite tasty.
The Island Provisions were also tasty, although towards the end of my allotted time to visit I was forcing myself to speed eat what was left in my basket.
An hour time limit would have been better, in my opinion.
Time flies by very fast here….it honestly felt like 20 minutes.
Cast were great and totally in ‘Pirate character mode’ which was fun and added to the experience.
Would I do it again…?
Yes, I would….perhaps with a friend or two next time.
Overheard an off duty CM while I was over visiting GEO 82 tell me Beak n’ Barrel is THE most profitable food n’ bev location on Property currently.
They rake in the cash and the 45 minute table turning is working in their favor big time.
By the way, I really enjoyed GEO 82 and will definately return in the future.
After feeling so rushed at Beak n’ Barrel the evening prior, GEO was a great spot to truly chill and not be rushed at all.
Server told me to stay as long as I wanted…and I was there for a while.
Nice spot.

I did not spend much at either location…honest! The longer you stay
The more you spend
To Heck with Figment
You're the server's best friend!
If you're sticking to nonalcoholic options, try the Treasure Trove next time; I found it much tastier than the Cursed Treasure. Be prepared, however, to eat the confectionary items that come with it.I enjoyed my experience at the Beak n’ Barrel, but it definately feels ‘rushed’.

Wait…. Were you there with Tony!?!?Being President of the Tony Baxter Fan Club does have its benefits once in a while…..

The problem is to me geo82 just looks like a hotel lobby bar. At least Beak and Barrel is themed and immersive.
I agree on all counts, and overall think this is where Epcot runs into a bit of an issue with what a lot of Disney fans expect from 'theming'.I don't disagree, but I'm not sure a themed/immersive bar is really an option where Geo-82 is.
I think some kind of Beak and Barrel type experience there would feel completely out of place.
Is the rushed feeling mostly about turning the table? I'm wondering if you can linger/wander after your 45 minutes are up just to take in more of the scenery?I enjoyed my experience at the Beak n’ Barrel, but it definately feels ‘rushed’.

Yes, one can wander after playing the bill.Is the rushed feeling mostly about turning the table? I'm wondering if you can linger/wander after your 45 minutes are up just to take in more of the scenery?
Glad you enjoyed both spots. Is interesting that they both opened pretty close to the same time but have very different feels but people seem to be enjoying them both (obviously nothing will please everyone)
Do wonder if over time they will get a little more lenient on the time limit at B&B - not necessarily drop it but at least make it so people don't feel as under "pressure"
About a month out from my trip when we have a few ADRs for B&B made. Looking forward to it. We did Geo-82 lat trip and love the relaxed vibe and definitely no pressure to leave - even knowing fireworks were coming up in a bit
Wait…. Were you there with Tony!?!?
Nice! I kinda regret missing retro - looks like it was a great time. I did 2 trips in a row for the end of muppets and the riverboat so I wasn’t sure if I should go again so soon…. Silly me!Spent some time with him, yes, but not at GEO 82.
Elsewhere….

I'm sorry but I would hesitate to call Geo82 relaxed. It is extremely chaotic and loud in there in any video I have watched of it. You want relaxed, go to Turf Club Lounge, Martha's Vineyard, Ale & Compass Lounge...geo82 is not exactly quietI agree on all counts, and overall think this is where Epcot runs into a bit of an issue with what a lot of Disney fans expect from 'theming'.
I get the impression people feel everything should be along the lines of Space 220 in that part of the park, whereas Future World was always more a more 'modern' vibe than themed to a particular time or place. While the design of Geo-82 is not perfect, I also don't think it's a terrible fit for the location. That includes being more squarely pitched at adults and having a far more relaxed vibe.
