May 2013 trip?

Just a quick question. My 2 friends and I are planning a May 2013 trip after we graduate from college. I was just curious on how bad the crowds are in May and whether it is better to go early May, late May, or even late April. We're from Massachusetts so I don't know when Florida kids get out of school for the summer either. Any help is much appreciated!

We have been over a few times in may and early may is relatively quiet, most rides have a manageable wait. Its been rare to wait longer then 30 mins. We are over may 13 as well but at the end this time, I've asked on here what its like over memorial day weekend and have been told its busy but again manageable. I would go earlier and not risk the later crowds if you have the choice.

We've gone early, middle, and almost end of May. Our favorite time all year long is the first week of May. We had perfect weather every year we went that week, but it rained a few times when we went middle to end of May. We still go middle a lot because we always do the first day of Star Wars Weekends. If you get there for the first Friday, there aren't nearly the crowds as the next day or following weekends.

My family and I have gone primarily in late April and early May. Our park experience during this period was the crowds were rather moderate. The weather is great (temperatures are usually in the 80s) and the crowds are very manageable. We find WDW an ideal location after 6 months of being indoors (snow and cold!!)

We are going 7th thru 14th. It's a great time to go to cool down.....we live in Phoenix! LOL!

We have gone the 3rd week of May-1st week of June and found the crowds and weather both to be manageable. The usual rain and some humidity and after FL schools let out it is a bit busier but compared to late spring and summer it's a dramatic improvement in both catagories. As someone mentioned above you can visit SWW if that's something that interests you. I live in IL and we generally get out of school around the 3rd week of May so we can beat some of the traditional vacation and local student crowds.

The last 6 years we have been March, April and May, mostly late April/early May. Next year we are going 29th April-11 May. As long as you carefully avoid Easter it is normally fine, although the last couple of years have been busier than previously. The weather is normally good early May but can get wet later in the month. I think it's a great time to go.

We are going May 5-13 in 2013 and have been there same time last year. We had a wonderful experience, and never waited more than a 1/2 hour for rides and that was rare. Weather was great!

Won't be going until 2014-2015 at the earliest myself, but am glad you posted this. Although our trip isn't for some time, we were debating between October 2014 or April/May 2015 and this is kinda tipping me towards April/May. As much as I hate the fact that it would push our trip back 6 months, I was leaning more towards the Spring because of the weather factor and the fact that it is kind of a nice reward for making it through what is usually a long, cold winter up here. Sounds like late April, early May is perfect down there!

We are going May 10th-17th in 2013 - we usually go that week, or the week before. It's always manageable, but I will say I think crowds have picked up a bit from what they were at 4 or 5 years ago. Still not bad though. Great time to visit!
