ok so we got the message that you could soft open, and ride buzz lightyear.. i am 70 and my wife is 71 and MUST use a scooter.. You just spent all this time and money to redo buzz.. but they did not make the que scooter friendly.. so now you must transfer and push this person in a wheelchair.. AND.. AND the first time we rode they put us through the fast pass lane.. the second day when we rode we were forced to do the complete que.. basically saying to us.. you can't ride.. because i don't have the gas at my age to push my wife around in a wheelchair.. You had the time.. why didn't you fix this? lets make this ride available for everyone ..

It might be less the actual queue and more a logistics issue of where they would put all the scooters. Buzz seems tight on space. Haunted Mansion and Little Mermaid send you down to the exit for disabled boarding, but I don't believe Buzz does.

When you showed up with the wheelchair did you get asked if you wanted to leave it there and board on your own, or was it taken as a given you were pushing her into the ride?

we had to leave the scooters at the base of the transit area and use one of the provided wheel chairs. but its just a shame we can't use the scooters..

Yes, but when you got up to the ride did they give you the option to leave the wheelchair with a cast member and walk into a normal spaceship or was it assumed you were taking the wheelchair friendly spaceship?

If there was no option to leave the wheelchair behind then it's possible the ride doesn't have a storage area for the mobility aids, period, which would be why they don't let you take in the scooter and it wasn't possible to modify it during the downtime. If there isn't room in the building they can't fix that without extensive work, unfortunately.

I've gone on with my disabled family member in a wheelchair before but the details are fuzzy.

They actually have…I’m almost 68 and use a Power wheelchair. You now go around the left side of the building , past the exit. There is a separate wheelChair entrance. You are boarded at the ride exit similar to HM. Best enhancement ever.
