JII Lighting Upgrade in Finale Room

Thanks for posting the videos, that was quite the awesome trip down memory lane! My kids actually loved Imagination this past summer and sang the Imagination song all week long after that. I can only imagine their faces had they seen the original. My 8 year old freaked out Christmas morning when he saw Figment sticking out of his stocking. I'd love to see this ride be more like its predecessor we all loved. It would definitely put some 'imagination' back into a pavilion desperately in need of added life.

The state of FW today really makes me cry. JII is sorely missed and I really hope for it's return. I know Communicore won't be back, and obviously Horizons, however JII still has the potential to be restored.

so why doesn't Disney do anything about this terrible ride? you would think years and years of people sending emails and messages of complaints they would do something to it, heck they could completely gut it and do something completely different. So why wont they do anything about it?

Welcome to the I was blissfully unaware of what a great attraction there once was and now I am heartbroken to know it is gone even though I never rode it in person club. :o

I remember the first time I watched Martin's vid- I always heard people online talk about how much they missed the original JII. My first trip to EPCOT was unfortunately in 2000, missing Horizons and JII by a couple years, and I was forced to experience the abysmal, figment-less 2nd incarnation of the ride. Once I saw Martin's video, I was heartbroken and astounded that such a gorgeous and lovingly crafted ride had been removed. I can only imagine what it looked like in person!!

The thing that really depresses me about it is that, sorry to be a Debby Downer, I truly believe that it is impossible for something on that scale to be built again. The Disney of today does not design, build, or even conceive of attractions like that. It would be a miracle if an attraction with a quarter of JII's quality was built nowadays.

Seriously. If anything decent materializes at the Imagination pavillion, I will eat my hat.
