high scores on TSMM

I know I'm probably in the minority but I wished they'd remove those secret high score spots in the ride. I know of them and looked at them once, although I never committed them to memory or tried them out. It just seems to kill the spirit when so many people know they and are nailing them every day. When my family rides, we all compete to see who's going to get the high score. Since the ride doesn't display everyone's score visible to everyone, you have to wait til the final screen to see who was truly the highest or remember your score to discuss after getting off. Sucks to get to that final high score screen and see that the stranger sitting at the back nailed all of the spots and got a ridiculous score. How is it even fun if you know how to hit all the right spots and know your score will be highest? Defeats the point in the game.

With that said I guess it is suppose to be an arcade game and how often does the average person make the top ten list on an arcade game?

I'm not talking about the top ten. There's a screen that shows the high score for your vehicle set. If your party doesn't take up all 4 sides, you end up with strangers on one of the sides.

This is exactly what we do. My wife always seems to win and I come away rubbing my shoulder. I have read about the secret high score spots but never use them.

I know where the secret spots are but still can't get them all. Always first in the car though. Have trouble with the tank and the big alien.

Yes, that's possible but scores that are just under max- chances are, they hit some high spots

There's a whole thread telling exactly where they are and how to get them. It's pretty complex for each scene to find the EEs. You have to do very specific things. No fun, to me.

The secrets aren't all that easy to pull off, it's not like in Buzz where you just need to know which targets to shoot. The people getting those really high scores are probably pretty skilled at shooting anyway. I know the secrets, and my highest score is only around 230,000 which is usually at least 100,000 short of the high score of the day.

I'm fairly good at the game and at one point thought I would try and learn the secrets, but there are just too many. Some require you and your partner to work together also. So I just relax and have fun. If I happen to hit one of the secret things, GREAT, but I don't go out of my way to find them.

In English one usually calls them secret game spots, often abbreviated into g spots. One can google from there.

my highest was 210,000 and i too always wondered how people got 300000-400000+. i often go with just my granddaughter so the people on the back of us are strangers so we say we're a team so if i get high score in the cart my granddaughter feels like "our team" won.

I hit that range without knowing of any secret points and only riding every other year at most.
