Halloween Horror Nights - Tips for a newbie

So my Hubby and I are spending 2 weeks in WDW in October, and we plan on spending 2 of those days at Universal, and are going to purchase the HHN add ons for one of those nights.

Does anyone have any tips or advice? Hubby is a horror freak and loves all things gory, whereas I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to haunted houses! Is it really THAT scary? Would 1 night be enough, or would you recommend 2?

Any advice would be appreciated
