Gift Cards and dining?

Is it possible to use Disney gift cards for paying for table service dining in the parks and at Disney Springs?

Try to search for this but couldn't find anything that applied.

Yes you can use Disney gift cards at Disney owned and operated restaurants. I have done so many times.

Not sure about non-Disney restaurants at Disney Springs.

Also, something we did, was to charge our meals to our Magic bands, and visit the front desk prior to our day of checking out, and put any gift cards we had toward our charges.

Keep track of what amount youve used and whats left on the gift cards. I put a small sticker on the face of my cards and write on them the balance left so I know what I have to use elsewhere. Also be sure to keep track of your meals and amounts if charged to verify the correct charges are there upon your check out. Weve had discrepancies in the system before that had to be corrected.
