Thanks so much for the information:) I can't wait to see the HP land and Monsters. It all sounds amazing!
It is!

I get the park has not wowed everyone on this forum, but we are a pretty jaded group. The park certainly has room to improve. It is a bit confounding that they didn't take FL weather fully into account, but I also think the folks who designed this park put a great deal of time and attention into it. Part of this forum goes to the parks with the idea of pointing out the flaws, and I get that something like trash, a bad sightline, and something broken can take a person out of the moment, but what you don't always get on this forum is the parts of the parks that work well.

For me, large parts of Epic work really well. Overall, it is a very attractive park. I've now seen it from Helios and Stella multiple times, and looking out from Helios (and Stella), the view is very nice.

I've stayed at most of the Universal hotels, and Stella Nova is really nice. Helios is also nice, a bit $$ for what you get- no Express Pass, but the view of the park is outstanding. At dusk, it is breathtaking.

RP is a great choice. I enjoy having my morning coffee in the courtyard. The walkway from the parks/Citywalk is very pretty. I also gotta say the boat captains are among the nicest park employees anywhere! On a recent visit, the audio loop played YMCA, and everyone on the boat joined in dancing/singing...then it went to Sweet Caroline, and of course everyone continued to sing along. The captain kept everyone participating the whole ride. It was one of the best times I've had in any theme park in the last 5 years. Everyone on board was smiling/laughing. I also try to take advantage of the Express Pass as much as possible when staying there.

Another place that might not be on your radar is Confisco Grill. The food there used to be kinda meh, but I've now been there twice in the past two years, and everyone enjoyed their food both visits. Not a huge menu, but the food is good.

We will try Confisco Grill. I've heard some good things about it too. I guess I' m one of those people who Don't see the "bad sight lines", etc, and tend to stay totally immersed in the magic. I think we can always find something to complain about, but that's just not me. At this point, I am just glad to be able to go to Florida and spend time with my daughter and son and enjoy the parks. I hope we get one of those funny captains on the boat. We did get one just one time and had a blast on his boat. Thanks for checking in with me with those good recommendations:)

But I can't imagine being in Epic from open to close.
Im an AP so you best believe im going to spend a whole day there since it’s an upcharge. I constantly feel like I could spend another hour or two there at close too, as I never quite get the rerides I want. Here was my day yesterday:
-Ministry (walk on, I was on the first elevator)
-Ministry (walk on SRL)
-Mariokart (walk on SRL)
-DK (40 min SRL)
-Did the 3 challenges then Bowser Jr Boss Battle
-Monsters Unchained (30 min)
-Lunch at the Oak and Star
-Stardust Racers (30 min)
-Cirque Arcanue
-Wand Stuff, Butterbeer Crepes
-Stardust Racer (20 min)
-The Untrainable Dragon
-Hiccup (60 min due to a delay)
-Shopping/going back to the car for a coat
-Dinner at Meteor Cafe
-Stardust Racer, night ride (20 min)
-Monsters Unchained (20 min due to delay)
-Mariokart (25 min SRL)
-Fountain Show

If I had another hour would have easily tried to reride more rides. Not sure how people can say Epic is a half day park.

I agree its a full time park despite I only did 5 out of 11 rides back in September. I did both shows. When I go into theme parks, I like to go into shops and look around. I also sit down outside for a short break and I've done that many times at WDW also in the past. I also did snack breaks and drink breaks. I also did the Power up band activities. I also did watch the windmill burn. I also like to take in the atmosphere and look at small details.

I'm guessing on of the factors for that claim is people doing Theme park commando. A theme park commando has everything planned out by out doing rides while ignoring stuff like Power up bands, and magic Wands. Park commandos don't eat, don't shop and take breaks. The thing is Epic Universe is not made for Park Commandos yet, but than again there are WDW theme parks are not meant to go Park commando either. Epic Universe wouldn't made for park commandos for a while considering Epic has a combined 13 attractions with 11 rides without counting the nighttime show.
