I am not even sure if this is the right forum, but I have a question about Downtown disney. If I have a park hopper pass that allows access to Downtown disney, will it take a day off of my ticket? Also, I heard that they are trying something that allows you to walk around downtown without using the ticket, you only need to present that if you are going into a club.....and onlast question! Do you need a ticket to get to the rainforest cafe at downtown to eat??

Thanks!

Hi CRESH!....and WELCOME!!!

You are confusing Downtown Disney with Pleasure Island.

Downtown Disney is free entry with shopping and dining all over. It is divided into two sections, Marketplace and West Side. No tickets needed to enter, but you may want to make reservations for dinner on busier nights!

Pleasure Island is adults only and requires a separate admission. From time to time they may try different "tests" as you mentioned, but they are not the norm.

Good Luck....and HAVE FUN!!

Going to DD doesnt require you to use a ticket unless you're going to the clubs at pleasure island (PI) Parking is free, and I dont think you would need a ticket to go inside of the rainforest cafe. I think all you would need is to make a reservation.

Rainforest Cafe is just a restaurant in Downtown Disney - no tickets, just like Fultons' Crab House, etc.

Downtown Disney is just another name for the old Lake Beuna Vista shopping district. It's just an outdoor mall, of sorts. Once you get to Pleasure Island, you start coughing up extra $$.

I believe the Park Hopper admission to Pleasure Island (which is actually located inside Downtown Disney, but not really the same thing) is a "Plus." Therefore, your admission there wouldn't take away one of your Hopper days on your ticket. However, I don't know how many Pleasure Island admisisons come with a Plus. If I'm incorrect about any of this, feel free to correct me.

I think Aaron's right - if you have a park hopper pass that allows you entrance to Pleasure Island, it will count as an "extra" - the same way a visit to one of the water parks would. However, it would not eat up a day in the four main parks.
