Do you see DisneyPlus original content getting rides, shows, or appearances in the parks?

So today I saw that Disney hired Oscar-winning production designer Dan Hennah (he won an Oscar for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy) to work as production designer for the upcoming Percy Jackson Disney+ show and that they are now already starting chemistry tests for the casting of the shows main trio, and it got me wondering, with Disney seemingly going all out for this show, if it does end up a huge giant success like the Mandolorian ended up being, do you see Disney being willing to do rides, shows, or general appearances and stuff at the parks related to the show? I imagine we’ll probably at least maybe get character greet stuff, but the question is might we get more than that if the show is successful enough?

And this isn’t even a exclusive question to the Percy Jackson show, but also meant for any future or current D+ original shows. Do you see Disney in the future willing to have any other successful Disney+ originals like the Mandolorian, High School Musical the Series, Loki, etc (those probably aren’t the best examples, but the ones I that occurred to me at the top of my head) show up in some capacity at the parks as rides or shows or whatever, as more than just character greets?

Like I know some MCU Disney+ shows had related character greets in Avengers Campus in Disneyland, but do you think character greets like that will be the extent of Disney+’s presence at the parks? Or do you think Disney will be willing to do more, with stuff like actual rides, lands, or shows for certain shows?

No... If they do there may be small features included in parades or M&G's but I cant see Disney spending the kind of money needed to building up lands, rides or shows that are costly for them to produce.

Depends how profitable they'd find it. For example, if the current Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy proves to be too unpopular and it interferes with the parks' bottom line, I could see them re-theming Galaxy's Edge's timeline to that of The Mandalorian, assuming they determine that to be a sound financial decision. Do I find that likely? probably not. But I've learned that nothing is ever really impossible for Disney parks to decide to do. I remember when it was absolutely unthinkable for ANY non-Disney franchise to be represented in the parks, but they've already done Lucasfilm before the acquisition, Avatar, Barbie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So the impossible has already happened in regards to non-Disney being represented in the parks, so why not, now that they own Lucasfilm?

But then again, I could very easily be wrong.

Look at it this way. How much Disney Channel-specific content have we seen in the parks over the years? Small little temporary overlays here and there, the Playhouse Disney show they had at Hollywood Studios, maybe a few character appearances at special events?

I think the chances of getting a major project based on something from Disney + would probably be limited to something from Feature Animation that would have been a theatrical release prior to COVID.

If they could figure out a way to incorporate The Mysterious Benedict Society, we'd be all over that.

Not sure how they would do it though. Would have to be some sort of educational game, along lines of Wilderness Explorers in AK but more adventure/spy/fun. Easy. 😂

I think its all up in the air. You never know what the next cultural phenomena will be or from where it will originate. Take mandalorian, nobody expected grogu to come out of that. When frozen hit the theaters nobody expected the juggernaut it became.
So if Disney+ hits a gold mind in one of its shows, i wouldnt doubt for a second they wont monetize it. Disney could care less what the newest fad or money making opportunity arises from.

So the bigger question is ... if or when will a show from Disney+ warrant them to make an attraction.

character meet and greets, sure. why not. nothing more IMHO
This was my thought also, with more shows and movies going direct to D+ I think we’ll see more characters, for example I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Panda (is it a panda?) from Big Red in the parks soon. If it’s marketable enough as a plush/toy they can justify the cost of a costume.

I doubt we’ll get rides or lands though unless something is so popular they can turn it into a theatrical franchise.

First it depends on if Disney also has the theme park rights to the property as well.

I definitely think you'll see something eventually but nothing in the near term.

Of course. If Disney+ comes out with original content that becomes wildly popular they are absolutely going to try and monetize it. Maybe not a ride - but then again maybe a ride. But merch, and a theme park or resort presence? No brainer.

If you do count the Pixar Soul exhibit at American Adventure there is that too...And if they decide to have a Mai Red Panda M&G It would probably be at Canada in Epcot due to the film taking place there...
