First off, I wish I had time to give detail into what we did, ate, enjoyed but work, baby, husband, house...tire me out.
Off to Disney we went: December 2nd...out of Midway just past an ice storm thank goodness and into Florida Sunshine.
It included myself (28), hubby (28), son Kyler (11/12), Grandparent x 3 (50's). We booked 3 separate studios at Old Key West. It was not my first choice of hotel but I figured it knocked off one of my list of hotels to experience.
Kyler experienced 2 character breakfasts, a first haircut, Mexico and Italy meals at Epcot, and Santa! He did so well...Mommy was so proud of him.
For the first time in years, we rode all Fantasyland rides. Last year, I was at Disney 7 months pregnant and took some photos in key places. We continued the "early" tradition by photos of Kyler in the same spot.
I completely recommend the first haircut at the Barber on Main Street. You cannot beat the price ($14) for certificate, "Ears", and cut. Kyler went in a baby and came out looking like a little boy.
Favorite Meal(s):
Jiko: hands-down: DH and I went on a date night while Kyler went to Italy with grandparents. We were ecstatic again for the Filet and Chicken dishes. Tried the cheesecake and Pumpkin Compote for dessert
Chef Mickeys vs. Crystal Palace: my DH has a "beef" with Chef Mickeys since they changed the French Toast. But he was so excited to see Crystal Palace come out with Deep Fried French Toast: should have taken a picture of his plates.
Kylers favorite: any place selling Mac and Cheese
Favorite Moment:
My DH and I love the Festival of the Lion King. In fact, we have nearly worn out the CD. And played it often for Kyler prior to the trip. So on December 4th, Kyler was decked out in a Simba shirt and Mom and Dad wore Lion King pins. He was in awe of the show. But he must have associated the music with being at home or in the car because he fell asleep during the finale. I still loved being at that show with him.
I rode Expedition Everest for the first time (DH rode it last year when I was pregnant: jealous yes!). Imagine his surprise and return jealousy when I walked out of the ride to baby swap and had a Dream Fastpass. Okay so I know they give those out a plenty. But I had some fun making a deal of that to DH.
Lastly, I challenged Grandpa and DH to the Space Ranger Spin. Told them that I could kick some major tush. And that I did, more bragging rights for me. They did not like that: very competitve people.
