Christmas Carol Train Tour

Hello! I just found out that the Christmas Carol Train Tour will be in Detroit when I am there over Labor Day weekend. Has anyone gone to this? Is it worth it? I have a 5 and 10 year old - would they like it? I would appreciate any input!

We went to it when it was here in Denver. It really depends on several things.

For one, we went on a Sunday, and it may have been more crowded since people had known about it all weekend.

Also, we got there at 9:15, and it opened at 9:00, and the wait was already 2 and a half hours...and there is really nothing to do in line.

For that long of a wait, it was dissapointing. The train was only about 6 or 7 cars, and I would say 3 of them were just full of the machines that put your picture on one of three characters. You see a few neat items from Dickens, and a few other neat things, and then you have some more waiting, then you get to see like a 10 min. 3D screening of the movie.

If you get their really early, it would be great fun. But no so much if you had to wait, ha ha.

We went to this on the one day it was here in Memphis. We got there at 2pm and had a 2 hour wait in the lovely Southern humidity. It was nice though because they had set out a couple of water coolers for people to get water from and they had a couple of mist fans set up.
