Going to Pop Century in July. Does anyone know if the Art of Animation will have its own Disney Bus from the parks or will they share Pop Centurys?:sohappy:

Another possibility is that the answer is "it depends".

Combined, Pop and Art have about the same Guest capacity as all three All-Stars.
So it's possible that they'd run them similar to how they handle the All-Stars now. Namely, individual buses at Magic Kingdom all/most of the time, individuals at Epcot for some of the time (most definitely closing time), and combined buses for Studios and AK pretty much full-time.

(Though I'll admit, much of the info out there is saying separate buses all the time.)

From what I hear online, even the All-Stars rarely share buses lately. However, if you are leaving DtD at 2AM, I would fully expect to share a bus. At times when it really matters, it's likely there will be enough traffic for separate buses.

The All-Stars line up, neat and tidy, all in a row, and it is very easy for a bus to go from one to the other.

I believe if they started taking the loop around between Pop and AoA that they will begin getting the same complaints that they get about Caribbean Beach and some of the other moderates, that the loop takes too long.

When we were there in October, the MK bus area was finishing up the "construction" (for lack of a better word) for the Art of Animation stop so is that an indication that they will have spearate bus service?

Perhaps it'd be perceived as a long run, but timewise it really isn't much different.

I just measured it on Gmap Pedometer, and the run from the Sports stop to the Music stop to the Movies stop is 0.77 miles. The run from the Pop stop to the Art stop is a hair over 1 mile. While it's physically longer, in terms of travel time I'd say it's a draw because the longer run makes one less stop.

And for comparison, the POR loop from South Depot to East Depot is 1.2 miles with 4 stops, and the CBR loop is 1.5 miles with 7 stops.

If the GF, Poly, and Contemporary can all share a bus, then Pop and AoA will manage. It will probably only be at times like the late late late runs to empty the parks or leaving DtD at closing, which is more than the former resorts can say (never understood that). I used the distance measure on Wikimapia, and that run is about 2.7 miles one-way with three stops.

With over 2000 rooms at AOA how does that stack up against other resorts in terms of capacity? The first thing I thought of was how nice (and affordable) the studio rooms are but the very next thing was concern over what the crowds on the buses would be like in the AM and during closing. Nothing worse at the end of the day than watching full bus after full bus pull away with a tired kid that just needs to crash by your side/in your arms.

Art will actually have *less* Guest capacity than Pop.

Ignoring babies is roll-away cribs, Art has a potential capacity of 10,176 Guests (1120 suites with 6 people per suite, plus 864 regular rooms with 4 people per room).

Compare that to Pop, which has a potential capacity of 11,520 Guests (2880 rooms, 4 people per room)

And the All-Stars each have a capacity of 7680 Guests (though about 5% less at Music with their changeover to some Family Suites). So the three All-Stars combined still have almost 1000 more capacity than Pop and Art combined.
