Boardwalk Garden Suite club level or Grand Floridian Outer bldg Club level?

I currently have reservations for the weekend for the Boardwalk in a Garden Suite (Club Level) but I just saw that there are rooms available at the GF in outer building club level which i'm guessingg is the sugarload club? Which one should I go with? We are spending most of our time in Epcot (Food & Wine Festival) and MK.

Boardwalk gets my vote. You can't beat just walking over to Epcot for F&W.

My choice between the two would be influenced by where I think I'll spend most evenings.

One of the worse experiences at WDW is getting back to your room at night. Having to deal with large crowds to get on a bus late at night when you are tired is a big drag. It really can put a damper on your day.

If you intend to spend most nights at Epcot, then nothing beats being able to walk back to the Boardwalk or Y&BC. It's also possible to walk back from DHS to the Boardwalk; we've done it several times. However, it means getting to and from the MK via buses.

Conversely, if you intend to split your nights between the MK and Epcot, then the Grand Floridian provides access via the Monorail. At the end of the evening, even the local Monorail is packed with guests and, from the MK to the Grand Floridian, you have to do nearly an entire loop. From Epcot to the Grand Floridian, having to change the Monorail at TTC is not ideal either. Using the Monorail is not as good as simply being able to walk back but it sure beats the buses.

If you intend to spend mornings at MK and evenings at Epcot or DHS, then go with the Boardwalk. If you intend to spend most evenings at MK, then go with the Grand Floridian.

I would go with the Boardwalk for these reasons.

The fact that you are spending a lot of time at the Food & Wine Festival, so you are within walking distance of Epcot.

On a personal note I think their Club Level Cast Members are simply the best set of people you will ever meet and they make each stay there very special. I previously stayed Club Level at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Beach Club. In my opinion the Club Level Cast Members there don't come close to the service they have at the Boardwalk.

Finally I have read that the Sugar Loaf lounge itself is very small and doesn't have enough tables so it can get crowded at certin times. So the lounge at the Boarwalk is a lot bigger when comparing them.

Boardwalk simply because of Food and Wine fest and easy access back to your room

Boardwalk! We stayed in the Garden Cottage Suites last December and loved it. It is 1.5 stories and they all look like a small house and each have their own courtyard with flowers/roses all of which their design is different. You even have your own little gate you walk into your private courtyard. There is a very large jacuzzi tub upstairs in the master bath with a large double vanity and separate shower and toilet with a door. Also it has an extra half bath downstairs! There is a small kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, and coffee maker. I think there was a toaster too but not positive. They are Beautiful!!! The Innkeepers Club there is really nice as well and we enjoyed going a little while most days. And of course it was close to our fave park Epcot. Also it is very quiet and peaceful. Ask for a room with its own private entrance/garden b/c 3 of them do not have the private courtyard.

****The GF club rooms if I recall are just a regular deluxe room and nothing special compared to the Garden Suites which are an actual full suite.*****

Although I'd pick a room at GF over a room at BWI every day of the week (and twice on Sunday), I would ALWAYS take a suite (even a small one) over a room. Every single time.

Your very welcome!! I have a bunch more but I tried to just put ones that gave you an overall idea. Oh and it really does not take long to get to the Inkeepers Club like some said. We didn't think so at least. I think they will be very happy with the Garden Suites. Also remember to tell them about requesting one of the private garden entrance ones if that is important to them to get one similar to the pictures I posted.
