Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

So do we think X-men and F4 are not gonna be on the avengers ride? Seems like a missed opportunity
When first announced Disney hadn't completed the acquisition of the Fox/Marvel so neither IP was available. Remember these attractions are all based on the MCU versions, even if technically in a separate universe.

I suspect at the very least we likely will see F4 since they have made their MCU debut, and have filmed whatever shots are needed for them.

As for Mutants (what they've been called so far in the MCU) outside of maybe Ms Marvel (only confirmed mutant in the MCU so far) I doubt we'll see any of the traditional X-Men characters since the MCU versions haven't been introduced yet and won't be by the time the attractions open. And I don't expect any of the Fox X-Men characters to be added, other than maybe Deadpool (and maybe Wolverine) since he is now in the MCU.

When is this attraction supposed to be open? They just released a Doomsday trailer with the X-Men and that comes out this year.

There has been no official opening date announced yet. But the guesses by many here is anywhere between end of this year right before Doomdays opens to summer 2027. They are about the enclose the shell of the building, which means they are about to move to all internal work, which accelerates things. So it could open before Doomsday is released, say in Oct/Nov.

That latest Doomsday trailer confirmed it for me, X-men and the fantastic four should certainly be on this ride. It would be silly not to, as I see the chance of either getting their own dedicated land or ride and CA to be incredibly slim.

One of many of the reasons this ride was delayed was to co-film with Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars. It’s not coincidental its opening with those film.

I don’t know if they still want animated characters in it, but I would not rule out Fox X-men cameos, since they were accessible to them.

I think they are having RDJ reprise Ironman even?

There's still a case for Fantastic Four to get an attraction at Tomorrowland DL. For starters, Disney doesn't have many successful IPs that fit that land. Disneyland is viewed as the domestic park, and the film still made the top 10 domestic year-end chart. It also performed really well in the countries of origin of international tourists who visit Disneyland the most.

I'm going to push back on X-Men, as they are a pillar of Marvel. And in my lifetime, have been the most successful only second to Spider-Man. They can absolutely headline their own land.

Since AC had Fox Wolverine and Deadpool I would be surprised if the Fox X-Men are not included.

I still think its possible for even an X-Men attraction in DCA.

I'm still a little iffy on whether the rest of the Fox X-Men would be in the attraction beyond Deadpool and Wolverine as I mentioned before, even with the recent Doomsday trailer. But anything is possible I suppose, so it could happen.

When Disney finally makes an X-Men attraction or land they will likely use the new MCU versions. And it probably wont happen until several X-Men movies later, so at least 10+ years from now.
So it would be nice for the Fox X-Men to have something in the parks, and for the fans too. That's why I hope it happens.

Agree which is why my thought originally was they wouldn't include the Fox characters in this attraction since the land had been focused on the MCU versions of Marvel characters.

I would agree it would be nice, but outside the movies Disney hasn't leaned into the Fox characters that hadn't been in the MCU. So this would be the first time if they are included, and I would think it would characters who are in Doomsday not just a wide open inclusion of all Fox X-Men. For example I can't imagine that the Fox versions of Rogue or Kitty Pryde would be in this attraction since neither actors will be in Doomsday.

Back from my vacation to Japan, and I have to say the Peter Pan ride over there made me more excited for Avengers. That ride was incredible, favorite non-Journey ride in the park.
It's so fun isn't it?!

Welcome to my Pan cheering squad!

Spider-Man (Uni) is great and Pan is great, so I think the excitement is a tad muted on this one, which is fine. Easier to impress a low bar.

Disney is just off Pan developmentally and has the Spiderman guy as the lead. This one is a very safe bet.

We did it twice in two days (probably could have done it a third time but held off), but yeah. I don't speak Japanese at all and I understood what was happening the entire time, and the ride is just so much fun. I honestly think it would be hard for them to mess it up at this point.
