Annual pass question

Can you transfer an annual pass to another person provided you still pay for it? I ask this because I bought someone a pass for their birthday and they have decided to go away to school and won't be able to use it anymore. Can I just have this put in someone else's name? Thanks.

That depends. Is it a pass that's already been redeemed and used? Or is it just a voucher? A used pass no way. Tickets are NOT transferable. A voucher, maybe.

Also, if it is a voucher purchased for a Florida resident and the new person is not a Florida resident, no go either.

Except in some very specific circumstances like having an unused voucher, no, definitely can't transfer a ticket for any reason.

usually, no. But Disney is always willing to make exceptions for people with unique situations.

It will definitely make it easier if the pass has not yet been used, but if it was recently purchased as well I could see them possible letting you do this. Or if you did the monthly installment payment plan allowing you to stop future payments at the least.

If the pass was recently purchased and rarely or never used, it would be in Disney's best interest to make an exception and allow it to be transferred, so that they aren't losing a year's worth of food and merchandise purchases by the passholder.

I called the pass holder member services phone number. They said that I cannot transfer the pass and I have to still pay the monthly payment Unfortunate that this pass will never get used now.

I would stop by guest services the next time you're in the park and speak to someone in person.

Work your best mojo and see what they can do for you. I've found the proper amount of charm, applied just so, can do wonders.

Is it the actual ticket that you use to get into the park, or is it the voucher that you use to swap for the ticket? Like Laura said, it would really be in Disney's best interest to let you transfer that, but if those are the rules, then they are the rules.
