Trip Report A Disney Year: a recap of 2025

Hello! It’s been awhile since I have done a trip report. I always think I’m going to post one and then I don’t. I’m not disciplined enough to do a live report either. Well I decided to do a recap of highlights of my trips this year to WDW and Disneyland.

The people involved: me (Amy) and Brad (my husband)

Trips: January (WDW), March (Disneyland), April (WDW), June (WDW), July (Disneyland)

Reasons for travel: quick check up on my dad, DL Food and Wine, Easter and visiting my niece on the college program, just for fun, celebrating Disneyland’s 70.

We get there on March 14 and leave the 21. Perhaps we can coordinate a meet up.

That would be awesome!! We will not have park tickets, so maybe Disney Springs or a resort. We are staying at the Grand Flo, first time fancy for us, on DVC points.

A little more Geo 82. Hummus for me, tuna junk for Brad. The brown butter old fashioned for B and a peach whisky smash for me. Eventually we ended up at the AP lounge and neither of us had been in the marakesh restaurant before. It was beautiful in there. The snack were not great. The pita chips are ok but we have a Mediterranean deli near us that makes amazing pita chips so these were a let down. Then we hopped over to the Studios to go to Baseline and ride Mickey and Minnie’s. We traveled via Skyliner and we just made it before the Skyline shutdown for storms. We also just barely got our rain gear on before the skies opened up.

We made it to both baseline and Mickeys but it was a slog in the rain. At least our feet stayed dry due to our rain shoe covers and amazingly we found a place to sit inside at Baseline. The rain was torrential but at Baseline there was one lone guy sitting outside under an umbrella just sipping his beer and staying dry. He was living his best life for sure, I was jealous.

Then we hopped over to Animal Kingdom for our Yak and Yeti reservation. I had gotten an amazing deal on a gift card around Thanksso we needed to use it. There weren’t many people on the bus but as we had waited in line this one woman melted talking to us. At first it was fine then it was incessant. Once on the bus Brad buried him in his phone leaving me to keep talking to the woman. I felt bad ignoring her.
Anyway by the time we got to AK the rain had lessened which was nice. Our meal at Yak and Yeti was great and worth the visit. After dinner we closed out the night at the Magic Kingdom we didn’t intend to do all four parks but it was kind of cool that we did it.

Brad was excited to finally find some
Towel animals, though I don’t know which bathe found it in. It might have been in GeO 82.

I wondered about "tuna junk"...it's a lovely photo, if tuna agrees with you. Tuna does not like me. I don't even want to describe what happens at 3am anytime I've ever eaten proper tuna, the canned Bumblebee stuff mixed with mayo does me no harm, but the real thing

I think we would agree with both of you about Morocco...lovely to visit, but probably not to eat there.

I just don’t like fish in general. at least I don’t like eating them.brad loves fish and tuna like how this was served.

That is so funny. I seem to be an extrovert no matter what, and my sweetie is an introvert. Maybe even after he has a shot or two.

WOW!! Happy Anniversary! Happy Birthday!!

You guys celebrate good! Kevin and I are a big exception to the WI rule about alcohol intake... he can have one drink and I can probably have two and we are done for the night! Your crawls are AMAZING to me. We wouldn't be able to stand up... We are a disappointment to our homeland. You keep representing!!

I will eat all the cheese you don't want, though...

OH! When did those terrible black bars appear in Impressions de France?! It used to be one giant, gorgeous smooth image, didn't it?! We just saw it again in December for the first time in YEARS and I was SO sad to see that. The curtain wasn't operating either... boo.

I think you might be right... perhaps I was thinking of Mickey's Philharmagic where the projectors all blend into one large panoramic screen. nevermind...
