When are the dates for the subject seasons typically announced? What if a trip overlaps from one to the other? I'd imagine the package price would reflect, right?

I would suggest that you visit our friend, Deb Wills' Site, www.allearsnet.com, click on Accomodations and look at the room rates of the resorts you are interested in. She has both the 2005 and 2006 room rate info as well as the season dates listed!!! Hope this helps!! Belle

From what I can remember about prices and seasons- if you book in the value season but it overlaps into the next season- you still get the value season rate- also if you book in the peak season and overlap into the value- you are still paying the peak rates.

Thanks!

Seems like a strange way for them to do it. Woulda thought they'd split the rate based on the actual days of the booking, as opposed to when the trip started.

The 2006 Seasons are as follows:

For Value and Moderate Resorts:

Value Seasons: January 1 - February 15; August 27 - October 4; November 26 - December 19
Regular Seasons: April 23 - August 26; October 5 - November 25
Peak Season: February 16 - April 22
Holiday Season: December 20 - December 31

For Deluxe Resorts, Fort Wilderness Cabins, and Vacation Club Properties:

Value Seasons: January 1 - February 15; July 5 - October 4; November 26 - December 19
Regular Seasons: April 23 - July 4; October 5 - November 25
Peak Season: February 16 - April 22
Holiday Season: December 20 - December 31

For Fort Wilderness Campsites:

Value Seasons: January 1 - February 15; August 6 - November 16
Regular Seasons: April 23 - August 5
Peak Season: February 16 - April 22
Pre-Holiday Season: November 17 - December 19
Holiday Season: December 20 - December 31

Your room rate is always based on the date of arrival and remains the same for the length of your stay. If you arrive in Value season but your stay carries over to peak season, your entire stay will be based on value season rates. If you arrive in Peak season but your stay carries over to Regular season, your entire stay will be based on Peak season rates.

The season dates are released at the same time the room-only room rates are released for the following year. Normally in June or July.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:
