I've stayed at the WL at least once, that I recall. I liked it's proximity to the MK. I found Whispering Canyon to be so-so (I'm not fond of noisy restaurants) but Artist Pointe was very nice.
As mentioned, I walk at least a mile or two daily, and found the walk through the woods to be very relaxing.
I'll be honest and say that it's not my favorite resort, but any of the Deluxe resorts are wonderful in their own way.
