One thing I find odd, is that despite all the issues the current 2002 ride has, it rarely ever seems to break down/stop, at least in my experience.

Oh I just love Figment, and always will love him even with all of the stuff that happened over the last 27 years.

Oh dear. I could actually have seen that happening if Disney got ahold of Barney in the late 90s, maybe they would've kept Figment to tie in with an idea of imagination, but still, not a fan of that idea.

Heading to Orlando for a Disney trip and I still get excited to see Figment and even ride his ride, even if it's objectively not that good.

I can get it now honestly. It'd be cool if there maybe was a restaurant or something cool upstairs.

I wish they could've at least added something big to ImageWorks besides the Figment meet&greet. Back in the early days of the 2002 ride, from 2002-2010 before Kodak ended sponsorship, there was a big exhibit with Figment and a scientist where they'd experiment with Kodak image tech.

I can't believe what they just did to this ride. Like they're insulting the fans of Figment who want better. What... were they thinking? It reminds me of an intentionally stilted and creepy animatronic in a kids cartoon for parody.

Mid 90s were golden for WDW. Almost everything I wish I could've experienced that I can think of (with a few exceptions, such as World of Motion after 1995) was still there. The last known POV of World of Motion!

Summer '98 is probably the best objectively. That was the end of EPCOT's golden age IMO.

If the ride isn't refurbished by 2033 the current ride will have lasted 2x longer than the original.
