I love the self-referential side as well, as this might be the closest (at least in terms of physical distance) homage to a classic park element that I can remember. It strikes me as both clever and funny, and looks much better than an unbounded expanse of walkway.

I was honestly kind of hoping for a Disneyland Space Mountain 2003 sort of issue. Out of curiosity, I get why the points of light would be down if power was turned off, but why would the flood lights on SSE go out?

Maybe this has been previously discussed, but what is the deal with the projections not running often this summer for wondrous journeys? Is it a maintenance issue or something else? I watched a video of the final show and was very surprised to see it running with only castle lights.
