News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Exactly. This is the ride I have the most memories of riding at MK. My family usually rode Haunted Mansion first each visit, but we usually rode Splash multiple times, often at night when there were little wait times. Haunted Mansion may be both one of the most iconic and unique rides in MK, but...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Disney needs more thrill-type rides to keep up with Universal. Tron at MK is a start, but Disney continues to fall behind. Disney will always attract families with younger kids, but they need to focus more on older kids/teenagers. Maybe eventually build a fifth theme park that primarily focuses...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

The thing is, Disney must use animatronics like in Splash. If it is cheaply done like FEA in Epcot, then people will rightfully be upset.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

But is it a smart business decision? They’re taking a classic ride that appealed to kids and adults alike and turning it into a princess-themed ride. Disney continues to lose ground to Universal, especially in attracting the teen and young adult crowd. I don’t have a problem with removing SOTS...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

That’s not what I’m saying. Obviously young kids ride Splash, just like every other ride. However, are young kids the exception or the rule on that ride?

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I certainly haven’t read all the 576 pages of comments here about the retheme. I may be wrong, but has anyone considered the disconnect with creating a Tiana ride on an existing ride system with a 50-foot drop? I’ve always thought of Splash Mountain as a family ride, but one that is centered on...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Is this not true for nearly all industries since the pandemic? Not only is there a shortage of nurses, there’s a shortage of employees in nearly every industry. Restaurants, retail, teachers, bus drivers, hotel workers, delivery workers…

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I’m currently at Disney for the first time since the pandemic. Though the crowds have been fairly light so far this week, I definitely won’t return again if there is a mask requirement. Even in late October, it’s far too humid to wear a mask, even indoors. Not to mention that it feels like the...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Mask question for those who have been to WDW recently… where can you buy face masks at WDW (in the parks or resorts)? Brought some washable ones and a couple packs of cheap disposable masks with us, but quite possibly may run out before the trip is over. Haven’t had any luck finding any for sale...

    Ohana dinner reservations

Is it completely impossible to find an Ohana dinner reservation? I’ve been checking the app multiple times a day and found zip. The other day multiple slots opened up for the California Grill, but still nothing for Ohana.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

https:///2021/09/fl-covid-cases-drop-disney-world-50th-rwb1/ Don’t know if this has been discussed here yet or not, and don’t have time to dig through pages of posts. Does anyone have any idea if Disney will be dropping their indoor mask policies anytime soon based on the...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

from a Wall Street Journal column ( https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/cdc-covid-19-coronavirus-vaccine-side-effects-hospitalization-kids-11626706868 ) “A tremendous number of government and private policies affecting kids are based on one number: 335. That is how many children under 18 have...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I wrote months ago on here that the government needs to provide individuals with a cash incentive to get vaccinated. Biden encouraged states today to offer $100 payments to those getting vaccinated. I don’t believe that’s enough of an incentive. Pay people $500 or more, and maybe you’ll see the...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

If we’re going down that road again…everything in life has risks. What’s the number of Covid deaths of fully vaccinated individuals? Compared to the typical flu season? As an adult, it is a choice we have to make. I could die next time I drive my car, yet I still take that risk every day.
