DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

There's certainly no problem with not liking how this building is turning out as we're all here to discuss these things and reasonable people can disagree. From my point of view, I wouldn't die on the hill of defending the new animation building, but what I am seeing works for me. My take on...

DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

To be honest, I kind of appreciate how it references it without being a literal recreation in the use of the sorcerer's hat and the stripes. I guess there are all sorts of other things they could have done with this part of the park, but an animation experience and this aesthetic seems ok to me...

DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

I guess it can be questioned whether it is a good one and it is certainly trying to retrofit a resemblance onto an existing building, but with this and the paint scheme that is at least what they're going for.

DHS Disney Animation-Inspired Experience Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As the poster above pointed out, I don't think this area ever has been themed to 1930s Hollywood. What is now a replica of the Burbank animation building is flanked by buildings themed to soundstages. If anything, this whole project with the gates, landscaping, signs, and nods to the animation...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I feel very much the same. They are striking a nice balance in incorporating IPs without making it cartoony. The choices of Bambi and Pocahontas are also the most suited to the feel of the hotel rather than the most commercial, which is refreshing if they are going to go this route. Looks like...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

The new storyline with the little girl has massively improved this version and really brought it into its own.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Lion King is an odd choice for an immersive land anyway, given that actually being immersed in the world of the film would involve being surrounded by rocks, grass, and the rolling savannah. A Lion King attraction in Adventureland, though, makes a lot of sense.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Yes, I would imagine this is more about maintaining the incremental growth that has been occurring post-COVID since Avenger's Campus opened rather than a sudden surge in attendance. Perhaps equally important is encouraging people to spend more time in the park and to have their meals there...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Honestly, the settling down to more reasonable wait times for FEA reminds me a little of the opening of Avenger's Campus when they planned to limit entry into the area after it opened. That proved entirely unnecessary after, I think, literally the first day. I'm not sure how they feel...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Given the layout of the park, what you describe honestly makes sense. The park is very attraction dense in the front part, then there is a long walk back to one attraction and large areas around the lake where they is very little reason for anyone to be. It makes sense that even with the...

News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

To be honest, that sounds reasonable to me. Particularly given what they charge for APs now!

News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

Presumably, though, being able to offer free parking is better for that kind of retail and dining offering. It's probably also something they are able to do because of the size of WDW and their whole arrangement with the District. Changing that would be a downgrade, I would think, in relation to...

News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

If the issue is people using free parking intended for visitors to Disney Springs in order to take the buses to the parks via the resorts (if I understand correctly), wouldn't that be analogous to restricting access to the buses/skyliner so that hotel facilities aren't being occupied by people...

News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

Indeed. If this keeps growing to the point it becomes a problem, the next step will be to expand checks on people taking resort transportation. They could also just have checks at the resort entrances; it would depend on what would be easier, I guess. As everyone else is saying, I don't know...

News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

Maybe in terms of the public bus system the link is not too important (as has been pointed out regarding buses also running to TTC). However, there is significant infrastructure there in terms of free parking designed to entice people to that one venue on the edge of the property who aren't...
