HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Stark Expo. It's actually well done with each ride referencing the other, as well as the meet 'n greet with Iron Man. No idea on the timeline.

Shanghai Disneyland from a first timers view

Mickey Ave is a total failure in my book, mainly because it's too small, but it's also confusing what it's actually supposed to be. I'm assuming it's a city of toons like Toontown, but then there's what is clearly the Carthay Circle Theater building, which is from our real world. The buildings...

Shanghai Disneyland from a first timers view

I think I agree with your assessment. The block of actual buildings between the castle and Peter Pan feels like a classic Fantasyland. I wish I was more clear that I view them as two separate issues: the fences/trees hiding empty areas, which are actually a problem all over the park, and the...

Shanghai Disneyland from a first timers view

I think this one is between Fantasyland and Toy Story across from Pan, but they're everywhere so it's hard to keep track. The area directly behind is worse, with unthemed tents and picnic tables. The last pic here is definitely behind the grotto because you can see the castle.

Shanghai Disneyland from a first timers view

Agreed 100%. Even with the trees there's still large sections of the land that have wooden fences as the only thing going on visually. The flaw is having the Crystal Grotto attraction in the middle of the land and yet deciding to not have it be visible.

Shanghai Disneyland from a first timers view

For what it's worth, I just came back from both resorts/parks, and Hong Kong was by far my favorite of the two, and I went in expecting the opposite. I thought Shanghai lacked the magic and is my least favorite of the castle parks. Though I will say Shanghai's Pirates is the best attraction...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I can confirm this. No pre-show on our visit last Thursday and Friday. Also, Igor not working, Wolfman not working, Dracula at the end not working. Overall very disappointed with the ride. Harry Potter had several effects not working. Umbridge's AA didn't disappear like it's supposed to, so...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I'm sure once you get to go, you'll have an Epic! day.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I'm not sure I believe this, but for the sake of argument, it's also possible Epic Universe steals attendance from other area parks and not just the Universal ones. Maybe people that otherwise would spend a week at WDW might consider splitting between Disney and Universal for instance.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Except the whole point of the park is to step into different worlds through portals. That very concept relies on immersion. This isn't a studios park. When they stop at 90 percent they are undermining their own good efforts.

Probably when you consider the Molly Brown has caught on fire twice in the last 20 years.

I've thought about this too and I think you're right.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Everything at this resort seems to be 1 step forward, 1 step back. Then again Disneyland brought back Mickey's Mix Magic instead of showing Wondrous Journeys all winter, so I guess this isn't exclusive to Paris.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

The same artist that designed the castle for the film also designed Shanghai and Hong Kong's castles, if I'm remembering correctly.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

    That seems like reasonable math.
