If they can figure out a government document certification process that's not too intrusive and easy to use, then that would probably eliminate most of the problem. At the very least it would eliminate those who are just trying to scam the system, as you wouldn't think they would lie their way...

For someone who would rather see a return to Standby only, while building actual attractions that increase capacity, instead of coming up with line skipping scams. This sounds atrocious.

You have to remember that many of those currently using DAS are doing so under the old system, so no change. Only those that applied for a DAS after 5/20 and are in the parks now are working with the new system. You probably won't feel the full effect until around July.

Not everyone reads these forums and not everyone who wants or needed a DAS knew to get one before they got to the parks after 5/20.

I agree, but anybody that tried to get one in the parks after 5/20 is being effected. So the new rules are in effect for some before 6/20. That was my only point.

Not exactly, the new rules came into effect on 5/20/2024 and one of the rules was that you could no longer go to guest services to get approval for DAS. I'm sure there have been some who tried to go through GS since 5/20 and where told they would have to call and do a video chat. Some would...

Absolutely, Central Florida can be brutal in the summer, the average daily high in July is 92. Gonna be a lot of unpleasant days every year. No matter the time of year our strategy has always been rope drop, out before noon, back to the resort, nap or pool and then back to the parks sometime...
