Was there ever a live wicked witch character on Snow White's Scary Adventures?

There used to be a Witch/Old Hag from Snow White who walked around the park. I remember seeing her when I was probably 6 or 7, so that would've been in the early to mid '70's sometime. The original Snow White's Scary Adventure was quite scary. That witch popped up everywhere in the ride and...

WDW 40th anniv. merchandise on sale online, free shipping TODAY only

all the merchandise seen on that page is at the parks. The Magic Kingdom finally had the 40th anniversary laptop covers back in stock again. They had them in January then they seemed to sell out of them as I couldn't find them anywhere. Today, the Emporium had them again.

PHOTOS - New interactive Haunted Mansion queue opens for guest previews today

I went this morning and the new que was NOT open. It was walled off and people were working back there. We had the same old que as always. We did get the black tarps and the projected hitchhiking ghosts at the end. I missed seeing them in the Doombuggy.

My 5 year old had surgery!

It sounds like it would probably be easier to bring the stroller along for him to use when he gets too tired and bring the doctor's note to use at Guest Relations to get a Guest Assistance Card so he doesn't have to stand in some of the longer lines.

    Africa trek and horseback riding

I second the horseback riding as very easy going. It's all on flat surfaces. Nothing strenuous at all. We also saw deer on our trail ride. They go out in almost all kinds of weather, unless it's thundering and lightening. My mom and I were the only ones signed up for our trail ride so we...

    Parks on Super Bowl Sunday?

We always go to the parks on Super Bowl Sunday. We like to see how many people are wearing their favorite team's shirt/hat. We've noticed the team with the most supporters usually wins, but not always. :) Anyway, the crowd levels are the same as they usually are. Since the Super Bowl doesn't...

    40th Anniversary Laptop Sleeve

They have this at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom. Saw them there today. I am really liking the 40th anniversary merchandise. A lot of really neat stuff.

    Wilderness Lodge Questions

Your view sounds like mine, and our room was a "woods" view. Woods view pretty much means you're not facing the pool or lake. And we did see the woods, on the other side of the service area. lol. But, I guess it depends on how much time you plan on spending in your room and what's important...

    Wilderness Lodge Questions

My mom paid for me and my sister to spend one night at the Wilderness Lodge at Christmas. She got a discounted rate on the "cheapest" view available, which was a woods view. We were on the 6th floor, right over Whispering Canyon. We could hear the noise from the restaurant, when it was open...

    Craisins coming to Disney

I read that the cranberry bogs would be part of next year's Food & Wine Festival. which is nice because this year there aren't that many outside vendors, compared to years past. No peanuts, no honey, no pears, no Cabot cheese. A lot of the companies that have been there before weren't there...

    Guest attacks Disney bus driver

It also held up the lines. I've been staying at Disney resorts since 1991. I remember the bus driver asking us all to show our KTTW card. It slowed down loading the bus as people got out their cards, their kids' cards. I only remember that a few times. We went one year and I had my card ready...

    POP or Coronado?

I vote for CS over Pop for your honeymoon too. Pop is nice, but for a honeymoon CS would be much nicer and more romantic. As others have said, CS gives you a lot of what the deluxe resorts have, but for a moderate price. Also, since a lot of the guests are there for conventions, the buses...

    Taping at DS today?

They were doing some filming at the Magic KIngdom today too. Some girl and guy. I had no idea who they were, but they were being filmed walking down Main Street and then again on the grassy area to the right of the castle, where the Mickey/Minnie topiaries are.

    Coronado Springs

Also, when we've stayed at Coronado we've noticed there will sometimes be a CM driving a golf cart who will drive guests back to their rooms. Then he/she will pick guests up walking to the Main lobby/food court area. This is nice at night. And as for the conventions, most of the time the...
